Girl in Pieces

I don’t know whether to say I enjoyed this book, or whether aspects resonated deeply with me. I like that a lot in books. Seeing people overcome similar demons I have struggled with - it gives me hope. It’s good to read portrayals of depression and self harm that are not so romanticised.The only aspect I didn’t like was the twist with Ellis… why the heck is she alive? That’s just thrown in at the end like it’s nothing! Kathleen, sweetie, write a sequel or take it out because I am livid!!

This book is beautifully written never before have I enjoyed the main character as I did with Charlie. I just wanted her to succeed and to find her happiness. It was so relatable and to some it could become triggering but I hope that it is more likely to inspire.

came just as expected and i’m so excited to read it, i’ve heard incredible things and even just the first few pages are gripping!!
