The beginning of the end of Tribes virtuoso vibe..
I have come back to this album multiple times over the years giving it many second chances, hoping it will have grown on me just a little bit more and it never did.A Tribe Called Quest had such a unique, groovy feel in their beats and wordplay.The first three albums seemed to get better and better so I couldn't wait to here this.Unfortunately if you love the old tribe sound then be prepared to be extremely disappointed.During this stage in the bands lifetime everyone wasn't really getting on and it's sadly apparent throughout each track. You can really feel the separation growing amongst Tip & Phife, their relaxed way of juggling each others rhymes has been forgotten, replaced with a tense and souless atmosphere.There are brief moments of Tribe greatness, but they are overshadowed by Q tips arrogance, fashionable 00''s trashy beats, the lack of Phife dog's swagger and the beginnings of a certain someones solo career.Cool artwork though.

Great album got this as a present for my mum after she broke her first CD that she got in the 90s and so i replaced with this she has given nothing but praise to this album and loves it.
