Lies of P (PlayStation 5)

This is coming from someone who has almost 100%ed all fromsoft souls games. This is probably the best soulslike out there. The combat is like bloodborne, but with sekiro parrying, with a mix of Pinocchio. I 100%ed this game and it’s new dlc. Fantastic game. It’s pretty hard but I’d say the souls games are harder. You’ll probably be fine as long as you have good patience and/or played some fromsoft games and know what to expect. I very much recommend this game. And by the way, I mentioned the dlc earlier but the dlc isn’t included in with this game annoyingly. I think it’s like £30 but I definitely recommend the dlc too. It’s better than the base game.

The Dark Souls games are probably my favourite series of games so I've played a few soulslikes trying to find something that matches up to the quality of those. This is better than all of the ones I've played, and honestly I find this a superior game to Demons Souls, Dark Souls 2 and it's very close to Dark Souls 3 for me. I played through 50/50 with parrying and dodging and found the challenge just right. All the bosses are great except 2(swampy boy and gank rabbits). Only 3 bosses took me over 45 mins of attempts(swampy monster, lecky lady and archy andy). Only negative I'd say is it's quite linear but that didn't bother me because everything else is so impressive.

I played this for 78 hours to 100% this game. Visually nice, Likeable characters, all-round great time. Hot take: I played both this and Elden Ring and I prefer this SO much more! It feels a lot more narratively focused, that coupled with the more linear level design makes the make me kinda care about what’s happening to the world and characters, and having ‘Gemini‘ chime in every now and then doesn’t make you feel so alone all the time when everything can seem so dark and grim. …You know, instead of reading in-game item descriptions/online wiki or just watching YouTube videos to even understand what’s going on. Everything you need to know is told to you through dialogue or environmental storytelling throughout. (SPOILER: The ‘bad’ ending is really mean spirited and seriously messed up! And kinda heartbreaking too… Like, after 78 hours and finishing my third NG+ to get the last ending, I didn’t think the game could still shock me)

The bosses are diverse, ranging from towering mechanical monstrosities to more humanoid adversaries, each with its own backstory and connection to the world’s lore. Its unique playstyle and unforgettable boss battles keep players hooked, providing both a challenge and a deep sense of satisfaction. Despite a few minor pacing issues, the game stands as a testament to what can be achieved when classic tales are reimagined through a darker, more intricate lens. For those who crave a deep, atmospheric action RPG, Lies of P is a must-play.

Good game, fast delivery at good price.

Please, note that this is not a game strictly speaking, it's hard work. You will feel exhausted and drained of life after "playing" it. Or, more precise, it looks like pulling your own tooth out. You did not like it? Strange, let's try another one! Think twice before buying. I also don't understand who is wring all these 5-star reviews. The game keep statistics for all players going through it, and I see that less then 10% players who started the game actually went through it till the end. But after playing some more I have to admit that this game has a certain psychotherapeutic effect - after trying to go throw the same location for 200th time you ask yourself - when did my life go so wrong?
