The mic stands are sturdy and the base is the reason for our purchase. We wanted to avoid the tripod models where you have to shuffle and position the feet correctly when standing in front of the mic. Also avoids tripping and kicking over the mic stand accidentally.The mic clips appear to be rather cheap however time will tell whether they are durable.
