Steam

Steam is thoroughly fascinating read with many twists and turns as the conspiracies of Imperium are met by Alium. Although aimed at a teenagers and young adults (with Archie being a character youngsters can relate to),the themes that run throughout the book are captivating for an older audience. Even though it is set over a hundred years, the problems the characters meet still ring true today giving an insight into society then and now. The use of steampunk imagery is so vivid and clear, bringing the characters to life. I have enjoyed the tale and look forward to the sequel to see the next step for Alium, Imperium and Archie.
