Before you buy driftwood know that:1. pieces are random. Like in nature tree branches look different. what you get is luck of the draw. You can always cut, and combine pieces like I did to get the desired look.2. The wood needs to be waterlogged to sink. Wood will float at first. Use rocks or soak in a bucket for a couple days to weeks. Mine took 2 weeks to stay sunken.3. Driftwood will create harmless fungus underwater but it will go away with time. When you sink wood, the water does begin rotting it. Bacteria will grow on it making a white fuzzy or slime appear. this is harmless, and unsightly it does go away on its own in a couple months. Mine took 2 months. You can scrub it if it bothers you or use fish that eat it like shrimp and snails. It will need to go away on its own, manual removal seldom makes it go away forever.4. Water will turn brown. these are called tannins, they do not harm fish and is actually beneficial. It will go away on its own with your usual water changes.5. may lower ph. Natural side effect of wood is that your ph may go down.I think most negative reviews from from not knowing some of these things.Driftwood is beautiful and helps emulate nature. The beginning is a little unsightly but over time you will have a beautiful piece. Here is my driftwood when I first got it, and now.

After searching all the nearest pet supply stores (an hour away), I was not able to find any suitable driftwood for my aquarium. I found most on-line auctions and sales to be rather expensive and sketchy. But with no other options I decided to gamble, and purchased a sight-unseen piece here, and just hoped for the best. I had ordered a "small", thinking that if I were to receive something I could get a couple decent sticks from that it would be adequate for my little nano tank, and I'd be happy.... But I ended up with a BEAUTIFUL, clean, root, that was a great deal larger than I ever expected! It is so lovely that I decided to remove an existing rock in the tank, and use the driftwood as a focal point, rather than an accent. I had to cut away a couple limbs to fit the space, but still ended up with a very attractive piece. I may take photos of it later, after I set it up in the tank; currently it is weighted down in my pond to get it water logged enough so that I can sink it.Perhaps I just got lucky, but based on this purchase, I would not hesitate to order again if need be.

The one I received is a good size for what I paid, its attractive and looks good in the tank but it has nowhere near as many branches as the photos, it has 1 main branch then a fist sized root ball with a few thin shorter roots. I was hoping for more small branches as pictured for my little L204 Emperor pleco to eat.No issues with sinking it, I put it in a huge stockpot and boiled it then let it sit in the hot water, boiled it again, let it soak, the next day it was able to sink without anything weighing it down.

Beautiful pieces from this seller, though the size and shape is a gamble due to natural variation. With Prime, it is so easy to order several because the range of what you might receive in terms of shape and size might make some pieces more desirable than others, and you can send back what doesn't work for you. I ordered 2 different sizes, and the smaller was significantly smaller than expected, while the larger was significantly larger than expected. I wish this one would have been larger, as it was a nicely shaped piece. I would definitely order from this seller again even though this particular piece was too small for my tank.

For the price I expected a little better. It doesn't even look like Spiderwood. I could see some people mistake it for some tiny, thin and average looking driftwood. It's not garbage but it wont be going into a display tank that's for sure.

I got two pieces because apparently unlike most people I understand this is a natural occurring item and shapes, sizes, color, and complexity of the branches and what not are not guaranteed. More or less just gives you an idea what to expect. I’m very happy with the two pieces I received and I’m actually upset I didn’t get more than just two. 5 stars

I received this item today. It was packaged very well so that is a positive. However the piece I received had all of the smaller branches broken off (9 branches were left as just nubs or less than 1 inch). Note! These branches were not broken off in shipping as the box did not have any small branches or other debris. If all of these smaller branches would have been left alone the piece would have been great overall. Several of the larger branches were cut almost in half.Whoever cut this piece was in a hurry as several of the ends are frayed like they were trying to rip them off instead of cut them. Again if whoever was prepping this item would have just made clean cuts I would have been ok with the piece.Also the tag on the piece is labeled saying 8" to 12" inch piece, the description does say 12" inch piece so buyer beware.

I was nervous to order because I couldn't chose the shape of the wood. I was pleasantly surprised with the results. It looks like a giant mini tree and is a great addition to my 20 gallon.There is some white "fuzz" growing but that's expected. My sucker fish love the wood and my other fish are found exploring its many branches.I boiled the wood for about 2.5 hours which took care of most of the tannins. It took about 5 days to become fully water logged after anchoring it with some rocks.

très déçu du produit c'est un petit morceau de bois qui a été coupé de façon grossière il n'est pas en forme d'araignée il y a une substance qui s'échappe du bout de bois et qui a tué deux de mes poissons très déçu de ce produit je ne le recommande pas du tout ce produit est énormément très dispendieux pour ce qui est des clips et ce qui est réellement arrivé chez moi
