Proof of perfection is in Lotus
Very good does what it says. You pay more but starts up quick no smoke and heat good to cook on. Lotus Brilliant Barbecue but needs starting jell and charcoal to get optimum performance.

Works well with the LotusGrill
I have a Lotus Grill and this works quite well with it. I only wish the coal didn't burn out so fast (I usually have to refill it once or twice if I'm having a BBQ with friends), and that it wasn't so pricey.

It does what it says on the bag. Converted me
No smoke, great heat and flavour. Unable to knock them. Beats the pants off self lighting bags all day long. Used about a third of the coals that I normally do and took half the time to heat up my tandoor oven.

Good charcoal, lowish smoke. Small size
Still a bit of smoke when getting established but settled pretty quickly. The size of the pieces are pretty small which I don't find as good as the larger lump wood style as this can smother the lighters but lit easily. Burns pretty quickly
