No these Pebeo special effects paints cannot go in the oven, they discolour The only paints I would put in the oven to make dishwasher safe are the porcelain or glass paints Acrylics can also be baked to seal them Hope this answer is useful

Q: Can vitrail be used with acrylic paint

You can't MIX Pebeo Vitrail glass paint with acrylic paints as the former is solvent based and the latter is water based. However, Pebeo do manufacture a water based glass paint called Vitrea 160 which might do what you want. Two points: First of all, mixing acrylics will make the Vitrea colour opaque so if you will lose the "stained glass" effect and secondly Vitrea 160 needs curing or baking in a domestic oven at 160 degrees to thermo-fix it and make it waterproof /; dishwasher-proof (but even then it is NOT food safe). I haven't used Vitrea 160 myself as I prefer the flow characteristics of solvent based media but there is a wide range of colours which are all inter-mixable within the Vitrea 160 range. In the end it all depends on what you want to achieve. Good luck!
