Shakespeare's Insults: Educating Your Wit

‘Name calling’ by the Bard for unique amusement
A unique gift for intellectual fun. The epithets therein may cause snickers and wide-eyed surprise! A quiet “Whee” is ever possible, as is a guffaw. Enjoy this one.

So fun
Had this in college, loved it, lost it in a move. Purchased it this time for my wonderfully geeky and sarcastic kids, and it has provided hours upon hours of entertainment.

Great for a snarky teen!
I bought this product for my daughter for Christmas and it has been a big hit! The entire family has been laughing and enjoying this book. My daughter even took it to her middle school teacher and the class enjoyed it. I think this book would be a great item not just for a Shakespeare fan, but for teens and adults alike. The book is divided into 3 sections. Name calling, Play quotes, and ready insults for particular occasions. The only thing my daughter did not like was in the play section, it tells you which act the insult is in, but not the character was gives the line. Overall this is a fun book!

What fun!
I bought this for my SUPER socially awkward teenaged daughter and she absolutely loves it! It's actually helping her to make friends in high school lol!

Has some good stuff but is written in an old style manner ...
Has some good stuff but is written in an old style manner which can be a bit harder to understand. Probably like it for all the wrong reasons. If one could only remember some of these lines when needed.....

Book arrived damaged, but it is a fun read for any Shakespeare fan.
I bought three for Christmas gifts and one arrived damaged. Two of three were the perfect gifts for my Shakespeare loving friends. The torn book was returned for a full refund. No big.

A couple missing stars
Some of the insults in the book are not in Shakespeare--like "insolent cracker." If anyone can tell me where that is, I'll up the star rating. It would be nice if each quote/insult had play(s), act.scene.line(s), and characters. Considering the fact this is mainly an index of insults and not copyrighted material, it seems more like a lack of effort than an oversight--especially since the book is available in digital format.
