I am very pleased with this bag. After a month I am just as happy as I was when I first purchased it and I expect that to last. Here are the key reasons why I have given this bag 5-stars:- It is visually beautiful.- It is made of a thicker leather. It's not fuzzy and cuddly - but it is flexible and soft, but has rigidity where it counts, such as dividers in the bag and the spine and base where you want stability.- The ties in the front use a standard belt buckle style. No magnetics here, just simple durable quality.- Interior dividers have rigidity. Soft, but not mushy. You can get things in and out quickly.- Lots of pockets and storage opportunities inside. And a surprisingly generous amount of room.- Great shoulder strap - again simple technology that works well. Same with handle.- Sturdy canvas interior. Ok, that's my preference, but it works well and has a color that compliments the bag.- The leather is traditional hand-tooled and tanned leather.- The bag came wrapped in an unusual indian-print bag enclosure. Took me by surprise - I though at first I bought a blouse! Is beautiful, tho.- Manufacturer included construction technique details and care instructions that were written without a marketing department. Authentic.One Consideration:- Strong leather smell. 30 days in and it is far less powerful, but still there.Edit: Six months in...- Bag still has a clammy feel to it - like the oil used to tan the leather is still on the surface.- it still has a strong smell - not as much - but it doesn't smell like aged leather.- Still love the bag. useful, roomy, nice-looking.I am pleased with this purchase and look forward to using this bag for many years to come.

I was blown away by the quality of this bag for the price, it has features that I wouldn't expect to see on a bag twice the price from a company like J. Crew or Fossil.The leather is high quality and smells AMAZING, the zippers and fittings are sturdy and well designed, the fabric interior and the stitching are immaculate, and the storage is generous and well laid out. Even the packaging it arrived in had the feel of a piece from a custom leather shop and not a $100 bag from Amazon...I had low expectations when I ordered this because usually you get what you pay for, but in this case I got way more than I paid for! This bag punches way above its weight class for sure!

I gave this bag 5 stars because it is exactly what I was looking for. It manages to look both rugged and professional, and it is very skillfully constructed. You are certainly not paying extra for a brand (yet!), even if Passion Leather has definitely started to build a well-deserved reputation for quality. So, this is not a Cole-Haan or a Kenneth Cole bag, but that just means you're saving money and improving the quality compared to those mass-produced, name-brand products.That being said, this bag is not as cushioned as some other more mass-produced bags. This works for me since I already keep my laptop in its own protective sleeve, but if you are relying on the bag alone and often place your bag down without much care to its insides, this may not be the best choice for you.Otherwise, this bag came exactly as ordered. It has ample storage space and is definitely gorgeous. It came fully sealed in a plastic bag (no smell) which itself was inside a nice drawstring bag with a very nice note from the seller. I did not notice much of a strong smell when removing it from the bag, and what was noticeable was certainly not unpleasant. It smells like leather. There was a little bit of stickiness on two of the zippers, but I'm guessing that's from the oiling process and it was easily wiped off.When I was choosing the bag to buy, I was a bit concerned about the looks of the front pocket (it seemed too small to be useful but also distracted from the clean front). I was wrong to be concerned as it is very pretty and actually very practical since the whole bag is a bit bigger than I expected from images. I was able to put a few small accessories in that section without much bulge and it can expand about an inch to fit even more in if I want to later.The cushion on the strap is also more substantial than I expected, and it's very comfortable. Although some users also complained about the handle not being padded enough, I found it to be very reasonable to hold. The bag IS big, though! So be sure you take that into account, as you can definitely stuff enough in it to make it pretty hefty to lug around. For reference, it's a couple of pounds without anything inside.That said, I would consider investing in the next version if it included some updates: 1) Removable shoulder carry straps (to be able to remove as well as to be able to switch which side the cushion rests on). 2) More small organizational sections within the bag - especially for pens, pencils, and other small accessories. 3) Rotatable connections for the shoulder straps.I'm looking forward to breaking it in! If anything changes, I'll update this review.Update 10/24/14: The zipper'd main compartment (a big reason I bought this Passion Leather bag) is definitely useful when I want to place my bag down on its side (especially for traveling), but I've found it to be unnecessary during usual use and leave it open. In case anyone is trying to decide on a bag based on the zipper, I would say it's pretty unnecessary during most normal use.

Sturdy. Not too fat. Good strap & hardware. And not your regular black briefcase. Love the look of it!!! Great purchase 🤗

Smells a bit funny, but I’m sure the smell will go away. Nice leather and looks fashionable.

The leather is much lighter than in the picture. Also it arrived with numbers indented on the top flap. I contacted the seller for assistance, but their suggestion was to use oil to darken the leather and get rid of the numbers ( this did not work). I would suggest spending more and getting a higher quality leather bag.
