The isopods enjoy this. Its a small bag, but it lasts a long time. I just drop two or three pieces in with the isopods and it lasts for about a week. You can smell that its real ingredients when you open the bag.

I am giving this four stars because I don't know if it is the fault of the design or the limits of my knowledge, but my Armadillidium gestroi eat this the slowest out of anything I feed them. What they eat the fastest is pure crushed oyster shell, dehydrated fish (ie: a food mix labeled more for aquatic variety), fresh watermelon rind, and lastly is this food. I am not convinced that this product alone is enough to discourage the adults from eating my terrarium plants' leaves. That said, they do eat this food, they don't avoid it entirely even with the other options out, and especially the youngest babies like this food and I think they are going for the carrot and the rice mainly. My middle-sized or adolescent isopods will linger at the watermelon rind, but all sizes seem to consume dehydrated ocean life of all varieties. Once I even had a frozen meal come with a packet of dried tuna flakes...OMG...the isopods eat this up like it's the finest of dining. Last tips for those of you who are like me, new to feeding isopods, order a pack of sea shells (such as those sold for hermit crabs) and use those to scoop and hold this food inside your enclosure. The isopods will snack on the most brittle edges of the shell, it lets me go several days without changing the food, and it makes mold control a no-brainer. Also, order a cheap bag of crushed oyster shell, commonly sold for chicken feed, but be careful how you place it if you have live plants, so that it doesn't leach into the soil much or have a big influence on the alkaline/acid makeup of the soil and groundwater. I think I had a fern or two that folded after I used the oyster shell, but no other plants changed. If you have not tried watermelon, and you have any gnat issues at all, you can put a slight sliver of melon rind in a terrarium and the gnats will fly into it and die while the isopods feast like drunkards. Whatever you try feeding these critters, just make sure you remove the leftovers so your isopods don't eat mold (most of not all mold is deadly to them, which is why you also need springtails for the isopod waste and mold).

A friend recommended this so I bought it. Not sure if my isopods are eating it but they must be because they are thriving :)

not suitable for a humid environment which is unfortunately all my isopod colonies. within two days of the food being out every enclosure I used it in is filled with mold.

I think they munch at night as it seems to be fed on, hard to tell. But product seems great
