Buy these for your little gardener and you won’t be sorry. Keep in mind these are not made of plastic and are the real thing of high quality. My husband and I were both shocked when he opened this box and took the tools out for our grand daughter. We both didn’t know what to expect but to our amazement they are real, sturdy so cute but above all are going to last for years for the next grand children. My Husband and I do a lot of gardening and decided to get our grand daughter into gardening at 2 when just showing her how it all grows, picking things. But last year for the first time we decided to plant pumpkin seeds with her so she could pick her pumpkins. Planting pumpkin seeds and our grand daughter watching them grow week by week and then picking them lit her heart and face up (which made us and her parents so excited) we really hope this is something that will be passed down to our grand kids so they can pass it down to their kids. Their aren’t enough traditions passed down anymore, but we want to change that.

It is easy to assemble, but since it consists of two separate pieces, they do not stay securely attached to one another. As soon as the tools are used in the dirt, the pieces come apart. This is a significant safety concern, especially for young children using these tools, I don't trust my children to use these. I had to purchase wood glue and duct tape to try to keep the pieces from separating, which should not be necessary for a functional product.

The tools are well-made and brightly colored. My almost 3 year old grandchild loved them. They are slightly heavy for that age group due to the metal heads, but they appear to be able to last with frequent use. Most of the tools are safe for that age group, but the yellow rake is somewhat sharp on the tips of the rake and that one may have to disappear for a while. Other than that, better than expected

I just got two sets for my kids and they're ok for the price. Not even 15 minutes into usage and the handles are splitting apart at the plastic coupling. I'd gladly pay an extra 20-30% if they came with a full length, one piece handle. Not sure if I'll return these or if I'll rig up a solution to solidify the handle.
