I have lost count of the number of different squares and angles I have acquired over the years. Maybe it's an amateur carpenter thing. But this one had a couple of nice features I wanted to try. When I first played with the adjustable piece, it felt like there was a little play in it which could have affected accuracy, but when you tighten the screw it draws it back into square perfectly. I like the minimal approach to the 45 degree angle too. The feature that was different from my other squares was the holes to allow you to mark out lines parallel to your stock easily. However, the holes are quite large, and with a very fine pencil I found it slightly tricky to keep the pencil in a constant position and to hold the square to the work piece and move consistently - as you can see in the slightly wobbly lines in the second picture. However, I suspect with a little practice I might get better at that - the problem is more likely me than the design. All in all a useful addition to the toolbox.

This is an awesome little square. Very accurate and the holes are very useful for replicating shapes making them bigger or smaller. Handy for a quick circle as well. The magnet in the square is very useful too makes adjustments very easy and accurate.

Very good quality and value. The 30cm metric ruler is very well made and the rule is stainless? steel (not sure what grade of stainless as it is magnetic, so time will tell if it is susceptible corrosion) but much better than some which use aluminium. Markings on both sides of the ruler are good (appear to be laser etched) and the adjustable stop block is a very nice design, which includes a internal magnet that stops the rule for sliding off the rule unintentionally and aids positioning and setting the stop block. Obviously, the (~3mm) holes in the ruler are not really suitable for marking accurate parallel lines with a normal pen/pencil as the holes are round not diamond shape so allows too much opportunity for movement of the pen/pencil tip inside the hole. However, it can be used with care and an appropriate pen/pencil tip size. Also the ruler could be used to mark circles at 10mm size increments using 2 of the holes. The Metric only (so called 7 inch) ~18cm speed square is also very nice quality, made from aluminium alloy and does have V shaped marking points on one of the inset rulers, which is great for marking parallel lines at the preset alternating 5mm increments. Marking are clear/accurate and are etched into the surface not just painted. It also includes drill/hole size guides from 3 to 15mm, and a inset straight ruler and angle guide etc. This set is great quality and value. (the ruler can be purchased alone, but the set offers even greater value). Very happy with this ruler and square set, get one

When I received this I was pleasantly surprised, not a hint of plastic anywhere and at this price I would normally expect at least some. The ruler has holes in it which a ball bearing clicks into every cm so it is kind of a fool proof way or measuring without going over by 1mm or anything. Do I have any criticism of this product, yes, I would have like to see this product in bigger sizes than 30cm. Apart from that nothing else, it is great for what you pay and does the job eloquently.

Have been using these for over a year since my Stanley sliding square broke. Really good quality with helpful magnet and good size to fin in tool bag. Roofing square also good. Generally only used to square circular saw. Has outlasted a blade and cut miles of wood.

The item is good and sturdy when tightened however the ruler itself wasn’t cut accurately and has a 1mm angled edge on both ends of the ruler. I did have to square it against the mitre saw with an aluminium blade and now it’s perfect.

vorab für gute 20 € gibt es nix zu meckern.umschlagtest sehr genau,lineal perfekte Skala und ebenso 100% genau also präzises Werkzeug zum arbeiten.wenn man es 101% genau möchte, dann legt man 100 € drauf . die kanten am Winkel könnten etwas weniger scharfkantig sein, hält sich aber in grenzen und stört kaum....wie gesagt für den preis mit der Genauigkeit absolut in Ordnung.hätte ich nicht gedacht und habs einfach mal probiert und ehrlicher weise irgendein total ungenaues Werkzeug erwartet...ich wurde eines besseren belehrt und werde es definitiv behalten 👌da ich privat im garten ein Set zum bauen haben wollte und nicht immer mein gutes zeug hin und her schleppen wollte.

Great product, great quality. However for some reason the ruler is not perfectly square, one corner of the ruler starts at 1mm and the other corner starts at 2mm, which might cause errors in measurement if not taken into consideration.
