Bestest patio weedkiller ever
Did you know that half a watering can of this vinegar, mixed with a big squirt of washing-up liquid and a couple of tablespoons of ordinary table salt is the most effective (and certainly the cheapest) form of weedkiller for block paving driveways/car hardstandings?I didn't... until I read the info in a newspaper article about alternatives to weedkillers and thought I would try it. Now... I'm not going to be using anything else. It's quick... very quick. Sprinkle the mix using the rose head of the watering can in the evening (you need to keep swirling the watering can around because the salt doesn't dissolve too well in vinegar) and by morning you'll see a big difference which only gets better. The salt dries the weeds, the vinegar carries the mix down to the roots and the washing-up liquid changes the vinegar's surface tension so it sticks to the weeds' leaves and stalks. It's like magic... and did I mention that it's really, really cheap? There's only one slight downside... which made me smile. I didn't realise it would be SO effective. The block paving is not only weed-free between the joints... but all the moss and airborne grime over the years has also gone (and it seems to have killed the ants that just loved the sand beneath the block pavers... win-win-win!). The block paving where the weeks used to be now looks almost as bright and colourful as when it was laid back in 2014. As a result I'm going to have to sprinkle ALL the car hardstanding, not just where the weeds were. (But at least it will save me the expense and time of buying a steam cleaner.)

Great for cleaning and killing horseweed
This is great white vinegar to use for cleaning and as a weed killer. I have an invasion of horseweed and having had no luck with roundup (which also costs a fortune), I decided to mix my own weed killer using this vinegar. I did take a chance buying it as I needed vinegar with at least 5% acidity to use in my recipe and the seller, who responded very promptly to my question, seemed not to know. Having now used it on my horseweed, I am thrilled with the results. Of course, it will need further applications to get rid of this horrible weed for good but at least the initial result is showing. I have also used it for cleaning and the results are excellent. The label does not state the % of acidity in this vinegar but I am guessing that it is 5%. It wouldn't be less because my horseweed would not have wilted and gone brown a few hours after being sprayed, and I doubt it is more because it doesn't have a strong enough odour and also didn't sting my skin. In fact, all it says is: " NON BREWED CONDIMENT, Ingredients: Water, Acetic Acid. Although this vinegar is edible, I personally prefer using malt or organic vinegar on my food. Can edible vinegars have more than 5% acidity? The vinegar arrived well packaged by courier within a couple of days of ordering and the seller responded promptly to my email. I would highly recommend both the seller and the product. I think £12.88 for 10 litres of white vinegar including P&P is very acceptable. The following are some of the main types of vinegar available commercially, and the non brewed condiment is listed as 'edible':Malt vinegar, Brewed from a base of malted barleyCider vinegar, Based upon apple cider and fermented and acetified in a similar way to the aboveWine vinegar, Produced directly by fermentation and certification of grape juice. However, more commonly low-quality wine is used as the base from acidificationDistilled vinegar, Distilled from malt or wine vinegar and although bright and colorless retains most of the flavor characteristics of the original vinegarSpirit vinegar, Obtained by acidification of industrial ethanolEdible acetic acid or non-brewed condimentIndustrial acetic acid, used as a synthetic substitute for vinegar

multitasking vinegar
Arrived quickly, two plastic jerrycan type containers packed in cardboard packaging - weighed a ton!! I use this for washing in the dispenser as a replacement for softener, or in the machine drum to break down a treatment cream which gets onto my underwear, a cupful to descale loo cistern, for disinfecting plastic drinks containers, cleaning windows - etc etc, at different levels of dilution... Cheaper than your average cleaning product and avoids those multitude of bottles under the sink. For uses - look on the internet.

Fantastic product.
I diluted the vinegar with 25% water before using it as a path clear with great success. I also used 50% diluted vinegar to clean my oven after I had left bicarbonate of soda made into a paste on both the shelves and oven for a few hours. I have never had such an easy job cleaning my oven with fantastic results. I would highly recommend buying this product and would certainly use this seller again.

Very happy with this it killed my weeds in my rear garden
I had a problem with weeds in my rear yard and googled around for ways to get rid of them and it was when I saw that you can mix vinegar with salt and dishwashing liquid to spray on them, instead of using traditional chemical weed killer solutions. So I tested it out, bought two 5L bottles of vinegar but used one of them with my sprayer! It worked from the first time! Very pleased with the results, you could see the change within hours! Will buy again! Just don't try it during a rainy period, you need sunny days for this to work.
