Brilliant Welsh film
This is the late Windsor Davies at his best and Hugh Griffith, winner of Best Supporting actor in Ben Hur, his portrayal as the Funeral Director receiving widespread acclaim and helped the movie attain cult status. A must to watch for aficionados of Welsh movie greats.

The Best Film Ever. Right enough.
This remains my go to film whenever I need cheering up. Simply my favourite film. Such warmth, great characters, beautifully cast, and above all, funny from start to finish. So many great lines, many of them improvised by the actors, who clearly got on like a house on fire. Some people are calling it dated, and it's certainly of it's time, but I think that's a strength. And if I had to choose to go on rugby tour now, or go on rugby tour in 1977 with Mog, Glyn, Mr Lloyd Evans and Maldwyn, I know which mini bus I'd rather be on. Epic.

Brilliant film as they say the oldies are the best and this film confirms it. Has definately stood the test of time

GRAND SLAM
It was so good to see this gem of a Welsh film again after what must be decades since I last saw it. Just amazed that it was only an hour long as it seemed feature length when i was younger. The cast are amazing and even after all these years it still cracks me up, although it must be a Welsh thing as my English wife soon got bored with it. But she loves TWIN TOWN, GAVIN AND STACEY etc; so maybe her lack of interest may just be down to the fact that this film now looks dated and is just full of typical Welsh stereotypes. Nevertheless, it's a great film to have in one's library and I'm glad I've got it. It arrived quickly and was packaged well.I'm still waiting for AMAZON to let me down; they haven't yet.So impressed with their service and feedback

Wonderful film!
Great film! Bought this for my husband's 70th birthday and we so enjoyed watching this wonderful classic film again. I recommend you buy this film and enjoy the nostalgia. And ladies, thankfully there is very little actual rugby in it!

'Go the whole hog,Mog!'
Well, what have we here? Quite simply the finest 50 minutes of Welsh comedy since Ryan Davies first said 'And don't call Will on your Father!'. I wouldn't expect too many people living to the right of Offa's Dyke to get what it's all about, but those of us who have enjoyed so many tours (particularly to watch the boys lose in Paris), there is a quintessential Welshness that soars from the screen in this affectionately scripted and wonderfully performed slice of life. This is probably Windsor Davies's finest hour as Mog the Tour leader, who insists on reminding the boys that they are 'ambassadors for Wales', in the city where 'you'll see it all, kid'. No review of Grand Slam would be complete without reference to Hugh Griffith's portrayal of Caradog Lloyd Evans - the eyebrows are as expressively unruly as when he picked up his Oscar for Ben Hur and the relationship with Glyn ('I'm used to his smells') is surely reminiscent of Albert and Harold Steptoe at their crotchety best.Sion Probert's Maldwyn ('I'm here, I'm there, I'm everywhere, so beware!') hits the mark as the high camp boutique proprietor, whose window tribute to 'the boys' means so much to him. The supporting characters come straight from a weekend with the committee and supporters of quite possibly any Welsh rugby club, even today.I have waited over 20 years for this to be released. Now that it's here I'll be snapping up a copy or two for fellow exiled Welshmen - simply brilliant!

Boyos on tour
A very nice period piece. At times more Benny Hill than boyos on rugby tour, but worth watching if drama set outside of London or Manchester is your thing

Top Tidy!
Packaging and delivery up to usual good standard. Disc works ok. Not a lot more to say, but it helps if you understand a bit about Welsh culture
