The book is half finished at the moment and it'll take me great will power to get to the end
I found the voice of narrator exetirated and fake. The content was generic and often I lost concentration and interest to listen. The book is half finished at the moment and it'll take me great will power to get to the end. Not much value for me unfortunately

Worth listening too
Some of this too me is common sense but There are many great and interesting tips here that make for good practice for tackling those sometimes awkward social/works situations and building your confidence with people, definitely worth listening too.

Stick with it...it's amazing!
You really have to listen as it's quite monotone but stick with it, it's actually a great listen which has had quite an impact already. I had great feedback from a work meeting yesterday :))

Some good ideas
Basically if you can look at what she said in an objective manner then this book is ok. Some of the things she talks about seam like good ideas while others just seam to be something that she has pulled out of one experience with some random person. I think its worth a read as long as your not gona try and follow it tooth and nail. Read and adopt the principles that seam good to you and that make sense. Even if they are all good principles you will only benefit from the ones that you really agree with, trying to do the ones you don't actually believe have any merit will just mean you don't do them correctly or do them so werid that it wont work or worse

Good for business. Not for home life.
I bought this book because I'm generally not that great a talking to people. I was hoping for suggestions of what to say to people and how to make a good impression which in some ways it did, but not in ways that I would want to use.The whole perspective is written from a business background with the writer giving examples of personal experiences at work. But forming relationships with co-workers and clients is different to forming relationships with possible new friends and family. As such, the techniques outlined are great to make a good impression at work, but at home would just be fake and non-productive to forming a close, trusting and loving relationship.
