Pretty Great IEM’s
These IEM’s sound great! And they’re very comfortable! I love the aluminum build quality, they have an expensive look and feel without the high price tag! Only con I can think of is that I wish they came with a nicer cable, there’s nothing wrong with it but it could definitely be better.

Best Neutral Under $80
The best neutral tuning you’ll get below the Hexa. And nowadays, the Hexa is $80 which is just too much for that set in 2025. The LAN is very clear and detailed for its price. I think they could charge $50-60 for it. Of course there’s not tons of bass but it is pretty tight and clean bass, so tldr bassheads stay away. But if you like clean mids and treble with decent imaging, separation and only have $50 or less to spend, these are it. FIT! This set is also great for small ears since it has the Chu body. I personally got the best fit and sound using Dunu S&S tips. The included tips are fine and I thought I would hate the circle Y-split on the cable, but it’s smaller than I thought and doesn’t get in the way. Everything else on the cable is high quality and comfortable.

great bang for your buck!
For the price, I very much recommend these headphones. I like how they stay on your ear, the physical components look and feel high quality. I am not super into audio, but I love how they sound and I am able to listen long hours with them. The noise cancellation is great as well. Also, the packaging is really cool and satisfying, was an absolute pleasure to initially open them. I originally bought these to play Rainbow 6 Siege with them. They have pretty bad spatial surround sound and did not work at all playing rainbow 6 siege. Also note they do not have a microphone. However, instead of returning them like I initially thought I would, I am definitely keeping them due to the nice quality for everyday listening. Again, I am not an audio head so I can't speak towards the "timbre" or "sound stage" or anything like that for these earbuds, however I would recommend these to any person wanting high quality listening headphones for a cheap price! Great bang for your buck.

Worth the money!
At first I wasn't sure if I liked them, but then I listened to them with a quality CD player. The sound is wonderful--balanced, even, and open. They are so detailed I was able to tell the timpani were being played with wooden beaters. They stayed comfortable even after a 2-hour listening session. Great value for the money!

Best budget iem for comfort and gaming
I started my journey into iem’s with the moondrop shu 2 no complaints there great sound super comfortable but wanted a step up for more precise imaging and tracking I use these only for gaming (warzone, apex) after some research I purchased the sg eml6 I was very disappointed while they very clear and sounded great the imaging and tracking were a letdown for me and man where they large and uncomfortable after a 5 hour session outer ears hurt so I went back to the shu 2’s but wanted more after some more research I found fresh reviews on YT for the moondrop LAN’s and they were wallhack certified for iem’s under $50 and roughly same size as the shu 2 after receiving them wow I was blown away I use these on my Xbox controller with gadgetry techs dolby atmos tuning for warzone on YT the sound is amazing much better than shu 2 same amazing comfort small size and the imaging tracking wow I now hear precisely where enemies are if they are above me under me left right if they are coming up a zip line or stairs I never write reviews but these are so good for the price I had to write something so other gamers can get these and not break the bank. These are better than any headset I’ve used that cost over $100 for their performance and in my opinion the best budget IEM if you want great sound imaging tracking and comfort these are a steal at it’s price point. Enjoy gamer’s save some money and thank me later.

Like a better Chu, with a slightly different sound
The Chu fit me really well, but the smelly Chu earhooks and cable are not only non-detachable, but are just plain bad. The Lan solves all the physical issues with the Chu, including what seems to be a better paint/finish, but time will tell. What is undeniably much better on the Lan is the cable, which is obviously now replaceable, but it’s simply a way better cable overall. A little thin, and missing a cinch, but is otherwise great, including being slight longer that the Chu’s too-short cable. Sound-wise, the Lan is similar to the Chu (balanced, not overly bassy, with nice mids and treble) but the Lan does have slightly more sub-bass and is smoother in the highs, but lacks some of the mid-bass punch of the Chu while relaxing the treble a little bit. Some of the “magic” of the Chu may be lost in the process, but to me the Lan is more likely to agree with a larger variety of music types than the Chu because of it. My biggest complaint would be the loss of punch, but I would still prefer the Lan, even at twice the price, with its quality-of-life improvements. Comfort with the Lan is improved over the Chu since it has the exact same size and shape but has the much better cable with pre-formed ear hooks. Gone, however, are the spring tips that come with the Chu, but I understand why after test driving the Lan with my spring tips - the Lan sounds worse with the spring tips compared to the included tips. The included tips are ok, but I ended up using CP145 (one M and one S, my ear canals are not the same size) and they are perfect with the Lan for me. If you like the Chu a lot but hate the cable and ear hooks, this is almost a must-have.

I was amazed how these iems sounded for the price, base is just right mids and treble are well tuned to not sound too exaggerated. Overall does a good presentation and detail in most aspects of what is being played. My last iems were the kz zsn pro x which are great except for the white sound or system sounds that can be picked up easily at any volume, the Moondrop Lans have very minimal noise interference. My main purpose for these is basically just mostly for gaming and some side music listening, so far, no complaints. Sound imaging and staging is very immersive, base levels are enough to be present which i prefer, compared to most of gaming headset market that mostly heavily emphasised on base which just drowns out the treble and fine detail. Comfort of the lans is perfect and doesn't overtime fall out of my ear which the kz iems do. the all metal housing does help with keeping it in the ear without being heavy or uncomfortable. Overall, very easy to drive on almost any device. No spring ear tips like the moondrop chu which is sad to see but the included tips with the lan does the job well enough. If you get the lans on sale, it is a steal on a well-tuned neutral sounding iem in the price category.
