We got these for my husband when he goes on walks with our dog because the mosquitos were bothering him a lot. They are convenient to slip into a pocket and go, but the smell is wild. When the package arrived from Amazon, the smell was so strong it went immediately onto the back patio. Even, then the smell was coming in and bothering my nose. We put the product in a tied up grocery bag and put it in the shed, but the smell came through the walls where the shed attaches to the apartment wall. We put it in a plastic storage tub and that finally contained the smell.

So, I bought this product after getting eaten alive by vampire mosquitoes for 3 days in a row. I was skeptical but figured I’d give it a shot.The good news? It worked. It worked immediately. It worked well. I just haven’t been bitten since I started keeping a pouch next to me on the patio.The bad news is that the packaging really sucks and that’s important. When the package arrived it was oily to touch on the outside. The outer bag was sealed but I could smell the oils before I even opened the outer box. Once I opened the outer bag the zip lock (to keep these pouches fresh) doesn’t close well and pulls away from the bag itself. The inner bag is even worse. It’s zip lock feature is so flimsy it might as well not exist.So the reason I’m whining is that I had to use my own bags or these never would have remained fresh.Is that a terrible problem? No. Would I try a different brand of the same product next time? Yes.Overall, the important thing is that it works. It has a strong scent but it’s a pleasant one that blends in outdoors. It might be more overpowering indoors.If they just get reliable packaging to keep them fresh I’d be a repeat customer.

We recently got so many mosquitos into our bedroom every night. Got these to put in the window sill. The scent is very strong but fresh so I don’t mind. Haven’t seen mosquitos since. But, before opening the bag with the little bags in it, the oils leaked out through two (or 3) layers of sealed plastic.

First let me start off by saying the bags were not effectively sealed and both sides of the bag came unsealed prior to use or traveling so I would probably not purchase again or recommend on that reason alone. If I had more time prior to my trip I would have returned and purchased something else.As far as effectiveness goes they do seem to work. They are highly concentrated and I could smell them in my suitcase even after being triple bagged. I used them in my stay in Kenya and although I would find mosquitoes in my room from time to time I do think that it could have been much worse.I was impressed with the staying power too. I stayed in a guest house forgot my two packs there, left for a hotel, then returned to the guest house with the same room and I could still smell the packs 5 days later!I’m not sure I would purchase again. They don’t pack well and the smell will infiltrate the everything else you packed including food.

The mosquitos here in Korea are very bad. We were getting attacked non stop and nothing was working until we got this product(mosquitos won’t come near us anymore)! However the smell is SO INTENSE I literally have a hard time breathing and headaches. I would not recommend for indoor use! I put one under the coffee table and on the bedside tables in the bedrooms. I will be moving them to the patio and in the windowsills so they’re a good distance away from us.

It doesn’t keep them all away, but it’s way better than nothing. Seems after a rain (it’s way away from where they can get wet), it’s loses effectiveness. Maybe we just have a lot of mosquitoes, but I put a packet out on the table between our chairs and change out every other day.

Would have given these 5 stars but it arrived with the packaging broken. These are strong. Like you can smell them through a thick ziplock bag strong. They really work. Used in Thailand.
