Saved my Board
I’m happy with this purchase. My board started to get razor tailed but this has helped a lot to prolong the tail. I’ve installed it on a YOW La Jolla and it’s the perfect fit not ideal for smaller boards. Make sure you have a drill and screwdriver handy for installation and follow the instructions carefully.

Does the job
Does the job, very big though (on a 10 inch old school Powell, they still are too big which was a surprise), usually needs trimming with a Dremel. The only one that I found to be better, is NOS Visions, which are smaller enough to fit 9 inch tails.

The 8" size refers to the tail size, not the deck width. Initially purchased for a 8" street/popsicle deck and was disappointed at the fitment. Older reviews had the tailbone cut to size with jigsaws, but I'm a novice with power tools and decided not to. The dimensions of the Landyachtz Dinghy Blunt Fender are 28.5" x 8.6", and I decided to protect that instead. Since a 7/32 drill bit was required to drill a hole through the deck anyway, I drilled 2 custom holes through the tailbone and used 8-32 3/4" chicago screws/sex bolts/binding bolts. It's really strong plastic and great protection.
