Wonder Woman Historia: The Amazons

I love Wonder Woman and this is my favorite "Wonder Woman" book (even if she's not in it). The artwork is absolutely stunning and the story is very captivating. I would recommend this to anyone!

Beautiful book& beautifully illustrated!

I read this on Kindle first, and liked it so much I bought in hard copy. I love the way the story is told, and the art is fantastic. I also enjoyed reading it to my 11-year-old daughter who's keen on both mythology and super heroes. Note that it's not necessarily "kid appropriate" by many people's standards--it presents some very challenging issues and situations.

James Gunn has said he's going to do a history of the Amazons as part of the DC movies reboot. If that's true, this is the story he should base it on. I'll be honest, I ordered this for no reason other than the gorgeous cover (don't tell my wife). It arrived a day earlier than the estimated arrival time in pristine condition, so I was already impressed. Then, I read the story. All I'll say about that is, if you think you know how the Amazons came to be, you're wrong. A must-have for anyone who enjoys comic books in general and Wonder Woman in particular.

The overall story and mythology behind the Amazons are great. I love the new take on their origins, and the design for each of the Amazons is incredible. However, the scanning of the pages is really poor in some places. In some panels, it was hard to see what exactly I was supposed to be looking at.

What if the Amazons were created as a reaction by the goddesses of the Greek pantheon as a reaction to the ill-treatment of women in ancient Greece? If you’re expecting a screed: don’t. Beautifully told and illustrated, it adds a compelling backstory to one of the most iconic superheroes of all time.

The art of this book is immeasurably good! Great dialogue and storytelling as well.

Llego justo la fecha señalada y todo bien ahí solo que si llego un poquito golpeado de la esquina superior, no se percibe a simple a vista ni afecta su lectura pero solo lo quería señalar porque usualmente los comics y libros que pido me llegan en buen estado sin golpes pequeños. Y referente al cómic no lo he terminado de leer asi que solo puedo decir que el arte es hermoso y es una bonita edición.

Great condition. One of the best books ever!

This is more of an art piece than a comic, it's just that beautiful. Every page had me staring at all the small details for ages. All characters look amazing and interesting, and the story is tragically beautiful

The art is unlike anything I've seen in comics. The story and dialogue are phenomenal. It won the Eisner Aware for penciling, I think it should have won for writing as well. This will go down in history as the most outstanding Wonder Woman related graphic novel, if not one of the best DC comics graphic novels.

This is a beautiful book that I will treasure and enjoy rereading for a very long time.
