With all the conflicting information, I thought I’d clear things up. In the photos, the blue is an old bag, and the yellow is new. The new Chicobags original is exactly the same size and shape as my old ones, which I’ve had for at least fifteen years. The fabric has changed to a heavier, more durable polyester, while the old ones are very fine and soft. As such, I find it easier to roll, rather than stuff the new ones, back into the bag. This also minimizes wrinkles. The old ones weigh 1oz (30 grams) while the new ones weigh 1.4 oz (40 grams) without the carabiners. They are most definitely larger than a plastic grocery bag. I was hesitant to purchase a new bag, as there were so many complaints about them being smaller than they used to be, or the fabric seeming cheap, etc, but that is just not true. The fabric is different, not worse, and in some ways better. I always worried that library books would tear my old bags, but now I don’t worry about that at all. I do wish Chicobags would give us the option of that original fabric, as it is so soft and lovely, and stuffs into the bag to easily, but the new bags are still just as good, if slightly different.

Although the bags are manufactured in China, Chico bags states that they use only high quality, ethical companies. The company is located in Chico, Calif.I like these reusable bags because they stuff into their pouch, making them convenient to transport without taking up the amount of space a flat bag does. It is easy to fit a handful of them into my purse. I have them when I need them. Chico bags come in different sizes and styles. Many school children in the area sell them for fund raisers.The handles of the bags are thick enough that they don’t cut into your arm. They can be filled with groceries without excessive strain. They are a simple design that is well made. As I said before, I’ve had mine over 10 years. No rips. No signs of wear. The company offers a one year warranty on their bags. The bags are washable. I thought they were made of a heavy duty nylon, but their web site says they are made from 100% post-consumer plastic bottles .I highly recommend these bags.

These Chicobags are simply remarkable. They fit practically anywhere: in your pocket, purse, messenger bag, car - you name it. I love how adaptable and useful they are. I made sure that all in my family have one. Indeed, it is a family trait for my wife, son, daughter, niece, granddaughter, and anyone else that I like to own one. It is my gift to them. They are soft and squishy enough to fit anywhere and, when needed, are large enough to carry most items. I never travel to Europe or NYC without my bag. If you do not have one, I suggest that you get one NOW! You will not be sorry.

The ChicoBag reusable shopping totes are amazing, useful and good for the environment. Ordering was easy, the items arrived on time, were well packaged and easy to open. The 4 pack of bags come bundled inside of their integrated carrying bag; simply undo the opening, unfold and you are ready to fill them up. The bags are made of a good quality material, not flimsy like other brands I have purchased in the past. I really appreciate the attached carabiner clip, I have one clipped to the key clip on my purse. I carry the others in my car hooked together by their carabiner clips, ready to grab and go.I took all 4 shopping with me and was amazed at how many items I could stuff inside the bags. The handles aren't long enough to carry over your shoulder, they are designed for hand carry. This wasn't a problem for me, since I always push a shopping cart around the store and out to the car.Over the 4th of July, my family went boating and these totes were amazing. I gave each grandchild one to put their wet and sandy gear in, then I put the filled totes on a beach towel in the back of my car to keep the inside clean and dry. At home, I emptied them out, rinsed the sand off with a garden hose and let them air out on the lawn furniture. Then I played a game with the grandchildren, see how fast you can stuff them back into their sack. They played that game for another 30 minutes!I am so impressed with these totes and the ChicoBag brand, that I also ordered the Vita sized bag for our beach towels.

So our Republic of California, in all its nanny-state wisdom, has outlawed the use of plastic shopping bags because "litter" and required everyone to either pay $0.15 apiece for thick plastic ones that will pollute our landscapes for all eternity, or buy our own bags and try to remember to bring them in the store.I already own one Chico Bag plus two Walmart knockoffs of the same general design. I like these more than the weaponized plastic bags sold at the checkstand, and the less said about the "tote bags" shaped like paper grocery bags, the better.These will go through the washer no problem and they're easy to remember so I actually bring them into the store. They fold up into their own little pouch complete with drawstring, and if you don't lose the little carabiner attached to a loop on the side of the bag, they link together nicely.

The bags are nice; so far, so good. They have a small carrying bag attached to them, and you are intended to fold up and roll up the bag and invert it into the little carrying bag. I tried that for about 30 seconds before I gave up on the effort. Too much trouble for no real benefit. And the little clip that is attached is also clever but unnecessary.

These bags are the best non plastic shopping bags you can findInstead of the name brand reusable shopping bags that are bulky and take up so much space, these bags fold up quite small and you can carry several of these bags in your purse.A bonus is that you never lose the pouch where you save the bag.The stitching is good, the bag holds more than the regular plastic bags you get from a grocery store- what more do you need?!

The handy, purse size means that I always have a bag. If I buy something spontaneously, or if I just forgot all the regular bags in my car and now I’m in line at the grocery store, these are the greatest!

I love these bags! I keep ordering every year for gifts since everyone loves them! They are durable quality, generous size when unpacked! Nice comfortable handle. You won’t be disappointed!

I like that you can clip the bag to your purse and then it’s easy to find at the checkout. I also love the material, it slips back into the carry pouch easily unlike others I have tried. I just got a bunch to put in everyone’s stockings at Christmas!

I use these bags as a replacement for the plastic shopping bags; plastic bags banned as of Jan 1, 2022 in my area. I have tried these now for more than a year and these do the job for me, the entire Chicobag can be squeezed into the small carry bag as per the website illustration which in turn easily fits into a pocket, purse, backpack etc. I remove the attached carabiner which I have no need for. I have several jackets so I keep at least one in a jacket so I am covered for my impulse buying habits. I have given several of the bags away as gifts so do continue to order these as needed.
