Absolutely stunning!
I am in love. She is everything and more than I expected. I will purchase the others as well. This is the perfect addition to a bibliophile's shelf and the perfect gift for any bookworm. Adorable!

Small and dainty
Would have loved the collection if they were bigger - considering the price. But I find the small size and the idea of having the figures here and there in a white bookshelf quite interesting and whimsical.

How to say "Books still matter!" without any sound
The media could not be loaded. This is wonderful. I am a book person, not a figurine person! I don't own anything else that could rightfully (or wrongfully) be called a "figurine" or, heaven forbid, a glass menagerie, but the posture and emotive thoughtfulness of this just really caught me. It's just right. Any book person would look once at this and get it. It's just right. The lettering on the box is English, but the statue is in Greek, as are the letters on the book she is holding. I think they are just random letters, but I can't read Greek, so I'm not sure. But I really like how it implies that the knowledge is flowing from the book via the letters to encompass not just the head but the whole person. This is an active engagement, a synthesis between book and reader. You can still tell which is which! But through the letters they are integrated into one. Which I find very cool. She is just over one Sharpie high and quite heavy for her size. There are no fine details - no facial features, no fingers - but it still conveys focus and concentration. The one negative is that the statue does regretfully smell quite strongly. It's an odd, harsh smell; a bit like burning plastic. I am sure it will air out and like it well enough to not care, but it is worth mentioning. I actually sprayed her heavily with a cinnamon air freshening spray, which helped a lot. Cinnamon takes care of a lot of things. I learned that in a book.
