I used this for the ride home from my surgery. It worked really well to keep the seat belt from rubbing. I only used ice packs during the first 24 hours. I was in the hospital, so I was using their ice packs. I'm sure the pockets would have been helpful for that. Perhaps something a little longer and rectangular that drapes would be better for the ice but it's a nice feature.

I bought this for after my surgery, I found it worked the best at bedtime when I would fall asleep while using it, it wasn’t too cold and doesn’t leak.

I actually bought 3 of these total and gave the other two as gifts . The ice pack diddnt stay as cold for as long as I liked but it is a very good product

Just received pillow today. Ordered for hysterectomy surgery coming up. Pillow looks exactly what I will need. Size is not too small or too big. Good quality. The only thing I would add is I wish it came with at least one hot/cold pack.Also, Seller sent a Prayer for healing, comfort and peace Get Well Card with the item I purchased. This pillow has a soft chenille cover with a pocket that closes by Velcro. The pocket is supposed to hold a hot or cold pack so you can go home from the surgery center in comfort. Well, my hospital wouldn't heat or chill the packs I brought.The pillow is very puffy, and was difficult to keep confined under the car's seatbelt extender--it kept popping out from the seatbelt. I think if it was rectangular instead of square, it could wrap around your abdomen. If you face a long ride home, take a bed pillow or a fluffy blanket. If you have pets at home that could jump onto your healing bits, this pillow will protect you.But overall, it is as advertised, and I can use it under my head when napping on the sofa.

I used this only briefly after an abdominal surgery. I got the best use out of it in the car as a buffer between the seatbelt. It’s still a very nice pillow.

Perfect little pillow. Comes with a pocket to put things in to have near. They sent a lovely get well letter that I really enjoyed in my package.

I got this because of my surgery and it's a cute pillow and it will hold an ice pack. The seller even put in a personal note for me directly and said to recover quickly and that she hoped that it would be if great comfort. The only minor issue was I felt that the Velcro was a bit flimsy and I had hoped it was just a regular pocket to use
