Have been using the Tetra whisper series for quite some time. Picked up a 40-60 gallon pump for about $15 from q competitor. Had sufficient power for a 40g and 20g but kept on getting increasingly loud. Developed a strong rattling sound that was present from the beginning.Got this and was so surprised about how quiet it was. It's also considerably more powerful. At the lowest setting, was plenty powerful and stronger than the tetra whisper.Even at 20% off this was several times more expensive than the whisper tetra. I think it's worth the extra expense but there are definitely cheaper options. Have only had it for one week so I can't speak to longevity.

The media could not be loaded.  I have a 120 gallon and 75 gallon tank. This air pump is great on all four of my round air stones at the lowest setting. Highly recommended!! Plus it’s very quiet

The media could not be loaded.  Super quiet, tons of push. I have a 75 gallon tank, with 1 6 inch bubbler and I added an air stone at the other end just to see how much air it would pump. Working great. Stop looking at the others and get this one! And again and to me the most important thing is QUIET! Yes, the fish are happy and have been swimming through the air bubbles. If they are happy so am I. Fyi no led as advertised. Don't care.

Touch screen Hygger air pump. Strong and quiet. The lowest setting still aggravates the water surface really well from a sponge filter. Perfect to my standards and saving a bit of electricity. 55 gallon and recommend. But I still don’t know the long term.

I just got my air pump today and am already dissatisfied in it. The pump won’t turn on and there’s a loud rattling noise coming from inside the air pump like something is broke. I’ve already emailed Hyger customer support hopefully they can replace it under warranty!

This pump is really nice, but I didn't give it 5 stars because the instructions say it has an LCD display and unless mine is broken, there is not one. I have multiple tanks and noisier air pumps in the same room so at first I couldn't tell if it was on because it was so quiet. The display was blank, there is no power light, and I also didn't know what level the airflow is set to, but if you feel it for vibration and listen very closely, I believe there are 4 levels of airflow. I have set it and probably won't need to adjust it again so a display probably isn't critical, but I do have an O2 flow meter and verified that each outlet was putting out 3, 4, 5, and 5.5+ l/m at standard US voltage 110-120. I'm not sure how that translates to GPH because I don't know if the meter is meant for pure oxygen and my cheap meter only goes up to 5 l/m, but it gives me a good reference and I know the ratings are double for the EU/UK standard. I have it running 4 filters in 4 tanks at the lowest setting and there are plenty of bubbles, and I like the removable/cleanable air filter on the top of the unit so it doesn't pull in the surrounding dust that has settled on the surface through the bottom. I am happy with this unit and would recommend it!
