Makes Treating My Garden Plants Quick and Simple
I've always had great success using neem oil on my hydrangeas and roses, so I decided to try Bonide Captain Jack's Neem Max with the attached spray wand. I'm glad I did! The spray wand makes application incredibly fast and easy. It provides excellent coverage, so I feel confident that I'm treating the entire plant without missing any spots. It has turned what used to be a time-consuming chore into a quick and simple task. I was so impressed that I've already ordered another 128-ounce bottle to make sure I have enough to get through the summer. Based on my experience so far, I'll definitely continue purchasing this product. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an effective, easy-to-use neem oil solution for their garden.

Captain Jack's Neem Oil...Safe to Use in Organic Garden
Been using "Captain Jack's Neem Oil" for over a year now and found it quite effective for controlling aphids and sawfly worms (larvae), the two most persistent pests in my little garden. For rose leaves, I physically defoliate any leaves with those tiny holes from the Sawfly and then spray heavily, trying as best I can to get the underside of the leaves AND the soil as well. I do the same with my edibles..herbs, etc. I alternate and use a safe for organic gardening, "Captain Jack's Insecticidal Super Soap". So far...pretty good results, but I've found you must be persistent as these pests reappear with untreated foliage growth as well as after any rain or what have you. It's important for any product I use to be safe for wildlife and humans. I maintain hummingbird feeders and I don't t want to harm them. I spray after dark when they're unlikely to feed..as the odor is strong and can repel the hummingbirds. I also avoid spraying blossoms. It can be so disheartening when you invest your time and energy growing things only to have insatiable insects destroy it. Neem oil has really reversed that for me! Also, I don't get eaten up by mosquitoes like I did...so another big bonus... repels them too! I spray a mist of it right around the cuff of my gardening pants...helps a lot as I'm a mosquito magnet. And if I spray after sunset, there's no lingering odor by next morning.

Great product & the replacement sprayer is wonderful!
I had read reviews that complained about the sprayer not working. There were many, I was "sure" that the problem had been fixed. Nope! I had decided go with the convenience of the automatic sprayer. It came over night and I was ready. The sprayer hummed nicely, but didn't spray. I gave it time to prime-checked for holes or kinks. I contacted Bonide through their website. I got a fast response, requesting a photo. The replacement came quickly and works great. It is so much easier to use than a squirt bottle or hand sprayer-easier on the hand. The sprayer neck is long and bendable, so it makes spraying the underside of leaves super easy. Perhaps I should have take off a star for the little bit of hassle, but I am so happy with the product, I decided it deserved my highest recommendation - 5 stars. I am actually thinking of buying some for family gifts!

The battery powered applicator is awful, no fine mist. But the product itself is great.
I like this brand, bought some BT spray last year to deal with all the gypsy moth caterpillars that were ravaging my yard and it worked great. That's part of the reason I decided to buy this product from this brand in addition to the sale price. I was very disappointed to find that the applicator that comes with the jug is absolutely horrible. I adjusted it to what I would've assumed would be a nice, fine spray cone. And so it was, at least for half a second before it started spitting thick droplets all over completely tanking my coverage. I appreciate the thought with the battery powered applicator but a regular hand pump spray would work so much better. I'm going to just put it in one and I'm sure it will work great. So not a dig on their product, just the packaging.

Great product bad sprayer
The product itself is great does wonders for pest control, but don't waste your time with the spray attachment, it doesn't even work. I have been through two and the same thing happens each time. The pump turns on but doesn't pump anything. Maybe its not strong enough or maybe there isn't enough pressure in the container but either way you're better off getting a cheap sprayer from the hardware store and using that.

10 out of 10 sprayer worked perfect!
So easy to use sprayed in a perfect mist. I was able to turn it upside down and spray underneath the plants to get under the leaves and the spray never stopped. 10 out of 10.

Had them running away...
Ordered and delivered right away after discovering my precious plants were being eaten at overnight...within minutes of spraying things/insects started moving in the soil and away from bases of my leafy vegetables. I take pride in only organic treatments since i keep bees. So it is effective, safe and easy to use. I have asthma but was not affected by any smell or odor. Hoping tomorrow morning everything is safe for the much awaited harvest by people instead of insects.

Neem oil is effective on contact. So must be used multiple times to eradicate bugs.
I grow most of our veggies and indoors under lights year around, and bought this neem oil primarily to eliminate spider mites that I brough in with an online purchase. I did get the battery operated spray, but I use a spray bottle that dispersed the spray more evenly. Neem oil will kill bugs and eggs, but it is a contact spray and must be sprayed directly on eggs and bugs to kill them. Leaves must be sprayed top and bottom, stems must be sprayed, and even the soil must be sprayed for any bug or eggs in the soil. Especially when the plants have a lot of foliage, multiple sprays are required in an effort to spray all of the bugs and eggs. For something like spider mites, this means spraying the plants thoroughly every other day for up to 2 weeks. If you miss any mites or eggs, they start reproducing all over again. For example, a spider mite female, within a few days of hatching, can produce 8-20 eggs per day and live up to 3 weeks. That means that one female spider mite, if left undisturbed, can theoretically produce 300+ eggs by the end of her life. If you get spider mites, you must be diligent in consistent spraying to prevent a severe infestation. I have been battling spider mites for a couple of years, and I can't honestly say you ever get rid of them. About the best you can do is to control them. If you do have spider mites or other bug problems, this gallon bottle, since it is ready to use, will not last long depending on the number of plants you have. It might be more cost effective to buy a concentrate that needs to be diluted. If you have a number of plants to spray, as I do, this gallon bottle is a good size, but is not cost effective. I do like that this spray is all natural and not toxic, but there are other options for concentrated sprays that are added to water that last much longer. This spray is effective as a contact spray, but the key word here is "contact". If you miss one female or one egg, they can start up all over again. I hope this review was helpful for you.
