Update 2 years later: stick with the OEM screen protector from Samsung for S23 Ultra. Although the Armor Shield never ripped and did prevent the screen from getting any scratches, over time the Armor Shield screen protector stretches and shifts to cover the front camera lense. It makes selfies look horrible and prevents the phone from unlocking with facial recognition. This has happened with every Armor Shield screen protector I have used (3 in total) and never happened to the OEM ones. The 1st one happened slowly. The 2nd within a week and the 3rd within a few months. I think it was the time of year that I installed it (summer months destroy it). Also, the tactile feel of the Samsung screen protector is much better, feels less "there", and doesn't feel gummy like the Armor Shield. For these reasons, I would rather change the Samsung screen protector when it eventually rips. Update 1 year later: this is hands-down way better than the Samsung one. I finally changed my screen protector because the film slid a little and/or stretched and started blocking my front camera. When I removed the film, I was surprised to find no scratches on my phone. The screen protector itself had no scratches or tears despite being on my phone for over a year! Applying the new one was very easy and forgiving, as long as you don't run out of that spray bottle. They should provide more of it or a way to buy more. A speck of dust got under it during the install. I was able to peel it off spray the area, and remove the dust with my finger. And it looks perfect now! I can think of no other screen protector that is that forgiving during installation, protects your phone, and won't tear or crack. Here's a tip I discovered by accident: after the protector is installed, do something that heats up your phone, like play a video game or do a software update. It will help smooth out any remaining bubbles. I will be buying these for every phone I get. I highly recommend this brand. The tactile feel of the Samsung screen protector is superior. But it is not worth the hassle and cost of changing screen protectors every few months. I changed my rating from 3 stars to 5 stars. Original review: Samsung makes a similar TPU film that I would recommend over this one. This has some benefits but they don't overcome the biggest downside: the Armor Shield film is 1-2 mm narrower on the sides then the Samsung film. I actually confirmed this by putting my old Samsung film over this one, and the difference is obvious. As other reviewers have said, this film does not go over the curve. It actually does slightly, but nowhere near the edge. You can see where it goes over the edge during installation because it has a tendency to lift there until you smooth it out. I suspect Armor Shield wanted fewer complaints about their screen protectors lifting from the stupid curved edge and just avoided the issue entirely by making the screen protector narrower. But this is absolutely not a good way to protect your phone since you do have a stupid curved edge. It's something I would expect from some generic manufacturer, not Armor Shield. Interesting to note, nowhere on the packaging box does it say this is for the Samsung S23 Ultra. There is only a sticker sku label that says it's for the S23 Ultra. I suspect the same protector films are produced for the S23 and S22 line up rather than designing one to specification for the S23 Ultra. Lazy cost cutting. The crazy thing about the Samsung film is that despite coming closer to the case it has never lifted on me and I have used an OtterBox defender pro, OtterBox Commuter case, and currently a ShldAir Active case that has a bevel that is raised over the sides. So there is no reason to make these things narrower. The front camera cutout on this one is narrower than the Samsung film, which sounds better since it is a closer fit but can actually cause problems if you get dust or dirt on the edges or the film slides and the film protector blocks the camera cutout. It's too close for comfort. But mainly, the Armor Shield doesn't protect your edges where you are most likely to get sand (quartz) stuck between your case and screen protector and scratch the screen. Neither will give any kind of drop protection. Screen protectors are meant to protect against scratches to the front screen, while cases protect from fall damage and back glass scratches. The advantage of this one is that it is much easier to put on and very forgiving of problems with the initial installation, as long as you don't run out of the liquid. Which surprisingly, is very easy to do! During my first attempt, a single speck of dust got behind the film and I had to remove it and spray it liberally until I got the dust off. I wore latex gloves during installation, but I suspect as long as you spray your hands you can do this barehanded. I could not do something like that with the Samsung protector, and in fact, I ruined a few of them like that. These stupid films will draw every particle in the vicinity to them. They are lint magnets during installation. The Samsung film also has less resistance when swiping but that may be since I just installed my Armor shield film. I suspect that the oils from my finger will make it smoother over time and there may still be residue from the spray. One big advantage the Armor shield has: There was no crease during installation, fewer bubbles, and they disappeared quicker. The Samsung film looks awful when it goes on, but the film magically smooths itself out over 24-48 hours--as long as you didn't get any dust on the inside during installation. Which is not an easy thing to do. I tried this Armor Shield film out because the Samsung one was backordered but I will be going back to Samsung despite the advantages of this film because of the more precise fit. It's a shame. I really wanted to like this since I've had to replace my Samsung ones every 3-6 months due to tears in the film. Scratches are self healing but a tear in the film will not self repair. Armor Shield has a lifetime warranty which I immediately activated (you have 14 days to do it from the time of purchase) and was looking forward to testing out whether that was legit. I work around construction sites so my films never last. But my screen hasn't gotten a scratch yet. And I am not confident enough to wait and see whether this film will actually protect the screen since I know it for sure doesn't protect the edges. One final note: since TPU protector films are much thinner than glass protectors, the fact that the screen protector does not go over the curve is not noticeable in regular use, so asthetically, it looks fine, but functionally, it is not protecting your phone from scratches. And that's its only job!

Getting a good screen protector is tough for a smart phone with a curved screen such as Galaxy S8 plus. After reading many reviews of both tempered glass and film screen protector, I decided to go with film because the film touches all parts of your screen whereas the tempered glass only adheres to the edges and there is an air gap between your screen and the tempered glass that reduces sensitivity and creates an annoying click click sound when tapping the tempered glass down against the screen in the middle. In looking for a good film screen protector, I decided to go with ArmorSuit because of its wet application method (I tried previous dry applications and the dry film always peeled off the curved edges). Things to note: 1) There are different size cuts: a) case friendly version leaves a gap around the edges intentionally, so do not think it was cut too small b) non-case friendly version, this does not work well with a case and have a high chance of bubbling up when touching the case c) sometimes Amazon packers ship out incorrect versions, so you receive Note size for galaxy 8, or galaxy 8 for galaxy 8 plus, or tempered glass (I think ArmorSuit only makes available tempered glass for iPhones), etc..., this is an Amazon issue, they are shipping incorrect items to you and has nothing to do with the quality of the product you are receiving. 2) Application is important. Best to apply in the bathroom. Layout a Bounty sheet on top of toilet to put your phone on. Turn on the vents to suck out dust. Turn on shower with hot water to steam the air for a few minutes, turn off shower afterwards, this will clean the air of dust since moisture pulls dust down to the ground. a) watch the video on how to apply b) there are two modifications I would make to the process i) when squeegeeing, be gentle and light, use finger tips to gently hold the screen protector down on the phone while lightly squeegee the air bubbles out. If you using too much force, the screen will move around and you will scratch the screen protector with the squeegee. Make sure spray the solution generously on the underneath of the screen protector when applying, and on top of the screen protector when squeegeeing. The good part is since this is a wet installation, you are allowed many redos, and you don't have to throw away the film just because you misaligned it on your first try. ii) when pressing down the edges of the screen protector, spend a little more time on this part, don't just slide your finger across the edge to push the film down but use your fingertips to hold the edges in places for 10-15 seconds for each section of the edge. then let dry for 24 hours, seriously you need to let it dry or the edges can become undone since there may still be liquid under the screen that may get forced under the edges if you start using your phone. Unfortunately there is no easy way to apply film screen protectors, and tempered glass screen protectors are easy to apply but have useability issues. If you are looking for a good film screen protector, and take pride in installing it on your phone meticulously, then this screen protector will work for you. After a few days the touch and sliding is smooth and the visibility is crystal clear. And please don't think this will protect your screen if you drop your phone, that is what a case is for. It's all very logical. Finally to add, ArmorSuit customer service is superb. You can contact them thru their website form, very easy, or call them. They are not robots, just tell them if you have any issues, be frank about it and tell exactly what the issue is, and they will do what they can to resolve your issue with sincerity. This is a 5 STAR product and company. Please ignore my 1 star rating as I wanted to help those researching this product. Hope this is useful to someone out there looking for a good screen protector.

UPDATE: I really liked these protectors so when I got a gouge in the latest, I ordered some more. Not at all happy with these. They are a lot thinner material than the previous purchase. I've gone past my 30 day return window or I would return the rest. This product does it's job. Not as fond of the thickness of the film at first because it has a drag to it, but as it wears some it seems have less of a drag. I'm not easy on my phone and drop it often and on gravel face down. It has protected the screen. The film has had cuts and gouges but no damage to the glass underneath. The installation couldn't be any easier and it sticks well. I don't have much problem with touch sensitivity or fingerprint reading. I do have to get my finger a little wet at times for it to read better. No more than usual without the film. The camera lens protector is great! Once again, my phone fell out of my back pocket and onto gravel. It shattered one of the portion of the lens but that's what it's designed to do. It shattered but my phone lens didn't. This is my second purchase of these for my phone. The great thing is that you get two to a box so if one gets a gouge, you can replace it. If not for the initial drag after the fresh install on the screen I would have given 5 stars.

I just put this on! Only time will tell how it will hold up but this is one of the easiest to apply screen protectors I've used. Granted, I haven't used a screen protector on a phone for a few years. So maybe all protectors are this slick now. I don't know! But my last phone dropped three inches and the gorilla grass cracked. So for my new phone I figured, better add some protection. It has a little spray bottle of solution, microfiber cloth, and squeegee. There aren't any instructions in the box. You have to go to the website. Which is a little annoying, but whatevs. I washed my hands first with soap and hot water then rinsed in cold (don't know if it actually helps, but I've always done this ever since I handled and processed rolls of film). I didn't have a dust free room to put the shield on (who does?). But I laid out a few sheets of clean paper to work on. I followed the online video and things went fine. There are zero bubbles or bumps under the shield. I've never seen that before! I always dread putting screen protectors on because no matter how careful I am I always get a bubble or two and they drive me crazy. But not with this! You spray the shield and your finger tips with the solution which makes it so you can slide the protector around on the phone to place it just right. Then you squeegee it to get any bubbles or imperfections out. I had to dry it off part way with the microfiber cloth because the squeegee kept moving the protector. But it worked great after that. As it dried and I noticed slight imperfections in the light I squeegeed it again. And so on as I noticed them. Now after about ten minutes of drying and squeegeeing it's perfect. If you didn't know there was a protector on the phone I'm not even sure you'd be able to see it. Now the hard part will be waiting all night for it to dry completely before using my phone. UPDATE: I've been using this on my phone for over four months now. It is completely smooth and bubble free still. However, it is a little "soft". As in you can see little itty bitty nicks and dents in the material. They do appear to be somewhat self-healing though. For example, if I've had it in a pocket or purse with hard things (like keys or other electronics) I pull it out and it's covered in little tiny dents. They are pretty hard to see unless the light hits them just right. But after a few days, if it's been kept away from hard things, they are almost gone (almost, not completely). Which is kind of cool. But I would much prefer if it were a little more tough and didn't get dents at all. So for that I removed a star (my original review was five stars). I also had a corner peel up about two months ago. The corner near the center "home" button came up. It went back down and has stayed down, but you can see where it happened. It was when it was in a pocket all by itself too. So that's kind of a bummer. I'm sure the reason you can still see it is because it got some fabric fibers on it while it was in my pocket. I could probably take the whole protector off and reapply it, but that seems like more work than it's worth. I do think for my next screen protector I'll look into those "glass" protectors. But this still fits the bill of what I wanted. My screen is protected and my phone is perfectly usable.

Have applied various tempered glass screen protectors for my Samsung S8. Should have listened to those reviews that stated those styles do not stick properly or remain in place. So, moved on to the wet application screen protectors. This is the 3rd (wet) application I tried with my S8. My wife has the Galaxy Note 8, and when I applied her screen protector (via wet application) it went on perfectly. With the S8, it is more narrow and smaller and the protector wraps around the screen more, thus coming in contact with the protective case (we both have the Spigen Liquid Crystal Slim Protection / Profile Case). So initially, I installed and managed to not get any bubbles or streaks, but within a day, the corners of the screen protector came up due to rubbing / contact with the case. Tried to reapply via wet application but there was already dust, lint, etc. on the screen protector from being exposed and wiping it down did not fix it. So, applied another. Same issue. Gave it a few more days to try and adjust and see if it would have the same issues. It did. Last application could not clear bubbles and bumps (seemed to be in the film itself) out, which provided a sub-par viewing field of the screen itself. So took it off and am just going bare for the screen with the Gorilla Glass 5 and keeping the Spigen case for the outer phone protection. Very disappointed in this product stating that it stays in place and provides a perfect fit. On my wife's Note 8, yes, screen protector is great as the edges do not come in contact with the case so the film stays down and the integrity is not broken. With the Galaxy S8, different story. I would not buy again.

UPDATE: So, I've been using this "dry" protector for almost a year now and decided to update my original review. I have to bring down the rating a little bit because it does seem to stretch and move causing it to peel up as others have stated. For me, it began pressing against the case in the corners and eventually bubble up. If you are careful you might get about 4-6wks before this starts to happen, but it will happen. It's still a decent screen protector as far as clarity, protection and fingerprint sensor compatibility goes. But it's just not very practical and certainly not worth the price since it has to be replaced so often. Maybe I'll try the "wet" protectors, I'm just concerned that they will cause problems with the fingerprint sensor since they are typically a little thicker. First off, I've been using ArmorSuit Military Shield screen protectors for years. They're not just the best quality, but the best price as well. I just purchased the new Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, and there was no other brand of screen protectors I was going to trust to protect my new investment. After a quick Amazon search, I found their new Dry protectors. These things take their screen protectors to a whole new level. I never had any issues with their "wet" protectors, but the process is rather involved and time consuming. Not to mention the dry-out time required. But as others have stated, these new "Dry" protectors are a game changer. The finger print sensor works perfectly and the screen clarity is perfect. You can't even tell there is a protector installed. I highly recommend this product. And assuming it performs as well as the old tried and true "wet" versions, I don't see myself ever switching to another product. Well done ArmorSuit.

Its a great film protector, don't get me wrong, but I was forced to move the rating from 5 to 2 stars because it just keeps getting worse. First of all, the installation is super duper easy like honestly it's the first screen protector that I aligned perfectly bubble free. However, the fact that it's for my s22 ultra makes the protector sketchy. Firstly, it doesn't fully cover the edges which is a big disappointment since the edges are most susceptible to damage. Second, it can't fully grip around the edges either so there's always a less than a millimeter line around the screen that can't seem to attach properly. This is what makes it so difficult to handle. You have to be extra careful while handling your phone because a small displacement of your finger or a wrong slide of your sleeve will get caught by the unattached edges and hence start to lift screen protector. I've used 2 protectors already that were in the box and it's the same issue every time - I installed it first in January 2024. I wish the company would come up with a way to ensure the edges are protected fully and that it won't be this easy to rip off.

This may be a great product for non-curved devices. Just not this phone. I installed the film on the phone as instructed and with no problems but when the sides dried up they started lifting. I wrapped the phone in saran wrap to keep the sides in place overnight but as soon as I removed the wrap the sides lifted. I cannot be bothered with stuff that just do not work no matter how much hype companies create. I repacked everything and it's going back. My rating does not reflect the quality of the product for other applications, only mine. Two stars for quick and bubble-free installation. If you can make it work on this phone you're laughing!

compared to spigen neoflex, this is far better, before this i have used spigen neoflex, mob-Ac and baseus guards, none of the above is actually perfect with a case, if you are using samsung original case , it is ok but if you are using spigen case etc the chances of pushing the guard is much higher.. note:I have seen my spigen case pushing the guard at some places so i have moved back to my samsung case..

This is actually a great screen protector, I bought it quickly after buying my S8+ and although I am becoming a bit of an expert at fitting these things, having bought, and tried many in the last week or two - this one was a little tricky. Perhaps I used too much of the liquid they give you, but I couldn't get the protector to sit still on the screen when I was using the squeegy to get the liquid off. Anyway, eventually I figured it out, and the protector sat nicely, no smudges, bubbles or dust, and there was no loss of sensitivity when using the screen. It was also case friendly for my Spigen Tough Armour case, had no issues with the two being on the phone at the same time. I have to say that in the end I opted to go for a tempered glass cover for my phone, as I am just too clumsy and paranoid to risk it, but if I wanted a screen protector, this would be very high on the list
