Won't work. Buy the HP ink.
My HP Officejet Pro 8600 would not recognize this cartridge. Had to return and buy from HP. Nine times the price, but will work. I am so tired of getting gouged by HP on printer ink and am strongly considering dumping this printer and getting an Epson with ink wells.

Not All Cartridges Will Register in HP Officejet 8600
Worked before, won't work now. Last order Oct '21 worked greated and lasted until this year when I finally need to reorder. All loaded in fine, was able to print 4 individual pages before it kept telling me magenta is empty (its got a lot of liquid in it from shaking) but preventing me from printing. Unfortunately have to return to Amazon.

Total disappointed
Item took too long to get delivered and were useless. The cartridges kept popping out of the printer and leaking ink all over the printer and my hands. The vendor will take over 3 weeks to provide a refund and said that product must be unused and unopen for a refund. How would I know the cartridges were going to leak and not work on my printer without opening the package? Sound like a scam to me.

Do not purchase
These cartriges are either horrible or ruined my printer. I've gotten two yellows now that the printer refuses to use. And now it tells me the printer has an issue with the ink system. Stear clear.

Not compatible with HP.
The ad said they were compatible with HP. They are not, HP will not recognize. The cyan and magneta were in sealed packages the yellow was not. The yellow was the first one needed. Does not work.
