The cons
The o ly thing that I don't really like about it is that eventually the bottom bolt will come loose and it gets hard to tighten the grappler because the handle comes loose. Other than that. It's a really tough little gadget . Worth the buy if your going to put loctite on the handle

The REAL DEAL
The media could not be loaded. So I had a huge tree limb that broke but didn’t completely fall, hanging about 30 feet above my fence, ready to come crashing down in the next storm. Instead of renting something to get me up there, I bought this grappling hook, and with a couple of failed throws. I was able to hook it on the branch, and myself and friend were able to pull the branch from over the fence hence saving me money now, and in the future.. two grown men were hanging on this thing and the rope and grappling hook. Stay tight. Awesome product.

Very strong - have used twice for both magnet fishing and clearing plastic from river
Very pleased with this purchase. I bought this for use in magnet fishing. I used it when I threw my magnet into the river and found that it was attached to something heavy, so decided to try lifting the object with my grappling hook and magnet together gradually lifting hook then magnet standing on rope so that I could lift each a bit at a time. The object was a heavy bottom piece of an old trolley which would have been in the river for many years. On the same day I found a bike with my magnet and decided it was best to lift it out using this grappling hook - see photo of these items along with all scrap now collected by the scrap lady. In addition to this I used it to remove a number of plastic bags and some clothing from my local river. Highly recommend this grappling hook which is stronger than my previous one and also folds for storage. This will be very helpful in my magnet fishing and keeping to help my river clean from plastic, old clothing, shopping trolleys, bikes etc.
