3M PELTOR Optime II Earmuffs, 31 dB, Green, Headband, H520A-407-GQ

I wear them to read whilst others watch the telly. Reduces dialogue to a feint whisper, too low to understand what's being said. Others have to shout or wave at me to get my attention.Comfortable, they don't press too hard on the sides of your head. I can easily wear for an hour or more with no discomfort.

Bought for my fella but they fit both of us well, the padded band on the head strap is really much more comfthan I thought it would be. Also, the colour just looks plain cool (we got the dark green).

Bought in replacement of a set I’ve used for 6 years or so after using them most days in my work as a gardener.I will treat these however, with more respectand they’ll last longer.Great bit of kit. Would recommend them unconditionally.

Used for work and great protection

Use them with petrol driven garden strimmer, really effective at noise reduction and comfy to wear over period of 75 mins

These are a very snug but comfortable fit I’m yet to test the impact vs the chipper and hedge trimmer but I couldn’t hear the wife at all.For the money you can’t go wrong and the seller shipped promptly and they arrived before the expected date during the Xmas period which was very impressive.

only received item today ( bought 2 pairs), everything is fine, except the headband is very tight, making scalp not so comfortable. not because the head is any bigger or wider than other people, even children told the same.If the design can consider making it less rigid to wear, it would make a 5-star product. but I doubt that 3M would listen to a humble opinion from Amazon.Later I managed to slowly bend the steel band for a while, it gets a bit better , without lossing capability of reducing noice at all :-) but again, take it into account of your design would be much, much better.

We had been looking for good quality ear defenders for our daughter who has a chronic illness and is skin/noise sensitive. We therefore needed ones that weren't too tight or could be adjusted, and that worked!We bought 2 different types after reading amazon reviews. This one, the Peltore Optime II, was by far the better of the two. Firstly, as the head 'clamp' is covered metal, we were able to bend them out slightly to make them not as tight on the head.Secondly, they work well at cutting down noise! I have tried them myself and although you can still 'hear' sounds, noise is a lot quieter and far more bearable/muffled and seems further away. Obviously it depends on the type of noise eg high/med/low pitched as to how much it is dulled. (deeper vibrations such as building works can still be heard, as we found out when our adjoining neighbours had work done!, but again, it makes it far more bearable)The ear defenders are very good quality, feel robust and well made. So much so that we are now buying a second pair! They are more comfortable than the other type of ear defenders we bought, now stored away, unused,in a cupboard. These are lovely and fairly lightweight.We bought our Peltore Optime II from Rubber Sole Healthcare, who provided fast delivery and items were well packaged.
