This set was perfect for someone in my position, a complete beginner who wanted to buy one set and be done with it! I have almost all the colours I've needed over the past six months (since I bought them). There are quite a few shades I wouldn't have chosen myself, in the pastel and neon category, but that has helped me move outside my comfort zone and create some cool contrast in projects! Also, for those sewing with pastels it is probably great. The range of colours I do use is pretty darn huge and that is why I don't mind the fact there is a small portion I don't see as being 'me'. With this price you can pick and choose and still feel like you've won the thread lottery! The threads work well too, haven't had any breaking too often or anything. Great! :)

Good range of colours. Was able to buy a stand too to fit every colour on. Like a piece of art if you never used them! Vibrant colours. Colours ranged from black to white and every colour in between including most important colour for turning jeans up (normally very difficult to find). Very pleased.

Brilliant threads! I have used almost every colour while making masks! It is a very strong thread when hand sewing. Haven't done any machine sewing with it, so unable to omment on that!

All the colours you might need in one place. Slightly thicker than I was expecting reading some of the reviews but threads nicely in my Jenome sewing machine.

Cotton often breaks
