Rubbed my hand on this for like half hour 45 minutes two different times trying to get a change color and it barely turned pink This is what it looked like after that long I don't know if I got like ones that are defective for what the heck but I don't know if my daughter's secondary classes may be able to change the color

I bought these as a gift for students and they don’t change colors as quickly as they should. It takes a long time for them to barely change colors.

I used this for goodie bags I was making for my sons class. They were nice and cheap for a bunch. The color changes as soon as you touch the pencil. The erasers tell you what color will show up. At least that’s how it was with the ones I got. One thing is if your kids got cold hands all the time like my little one it doesn’t change the color much. Two of the erasers fell off. Some of them feel wiggly so I don’t know if they will also fall off but also kids are relentless lol. The pencil sharpens good and writes pretty good too.

These are really fun, especially for kids. We used them for my daughter's Valentines. The dark colors were difficult to see the color changes, but the light ones were great.

Maybe because it’s winter and I’m always cold but it takes a lot for these to change. We got them for a school valentines gift and I feel like I need to attach a note to explain what they do. When they work they are very cool, but it took a decent amount of heat to change them.

I use these are rewards at school and my own 2nd graders. We love these. They give me that 80s vibe. Arrived quick and worked. I think I had one pencil not react? But I have purchased twice and that was the only one so I don’t think it’s a concern to worry about. Kids love them. They seem to sharpen easily and don’t break like the super cheap brands. They aren’t Ticonderoga but they are good.

Although the color change was a bit slow it had a vibrant color. Looked great when it did get going. All the kids really liked them.

So yes they do change color but not very vibrantly at all like the picture claims. This is after they had some form of body heat on them from my students hand to “test” them. He held is hand on them for about 1.5 min. Even when the pencil was picked up and writing with for the whole class period they coloration was the same. It barely changes color at all
