UPDATED: Sold as new but had been repaired.
Worked fine for 17 swim sessions, then misted up. I had Been in discussion with Swimovate the watch manufacturer based on my finding that the watch functions are limited. As the watch display then failed completely Swimovate then had me return the watch to them. Their report was that someone had opened the watch, mangled two screw heads, and not installed the water seal correctly.Poolmate plus initially worked well, but watch function is very limited. In auto it counts lengths and averages strokes. Length counting also works best in front crawl or backstroke, otherwise is not accurate. In auto, strokes and times are averaged and watch doesn't extract inactivity. When using pause and unpause after each length, seperates each length into a separate set, but this requires double button push. Then gives strokes for each length and times.Swimovate have been great offering to repair free of charge which is amazing plus an even better solution based on previous discussions.

Don't bother if you have an apple watch
This was my second poolmate. They're a good watch for keeping track of laps, efficiency, speed per 100, strokes per length etc and they are relatively cheap.PROS+ Cheap (relatively)+ Effective and convenient way to track lengths / sets etc in the poolCONS- Do not seem to last very long: swimming 3-4 times per week poolmate 1 lasted about a year, had a battery change then stopped working 6 months later - poolmate 2 did exactly the same so it's lasted just less than 18 months including a battery change and the display is now shot and the buttons have stopped working, as far as I know I did not drop or damage either watch, I think it's just wearout- To change the battery, it has to be sent off to the manufacturer (they do sell more expensive ones where you can get the battery changed anywhere that would normally do a replace and pressure test)- Does not do much extra from an apple watch - I have swapped over (as my 2nd poolmate is now bust) and I'm not buying another one. I will just use my apple watch in future, but nb, I am very much just an average masters pool swimmer and I am only interested in how many laps I have done (so I don't cheat!!) and at what speed/100 with basic splits across my average sessions which are all crawl and generally between 1500-2000m. The poolmate would probably be worth it if you also want to track strokes/length, stroke rate, and it also automatically calculates an efficiency score. All in all I would say if you already have a waterproof apple / smart watch, chances are it already has all you need in a swim watch. But there are some finer details in data available from poolmate - but the product does not seem to be very long lasting.

Very basic but very good, forget the watches with lights and bell's
Very accurate in my opinion, the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it it adds the time you pause onto the total time, for ages I thought that was my time until I checked the app, it broke down the times, pause and swim times

This watch is fab. It is very accurate and ...
This watch is fab. It is very accurate and gives all the information about your swim that you could possibly need. The after sales service is excellent and if you need any help or advice they are very willing to oblige and very quickly too.

Performs ok but too many annoyances for the money!
I have to say I am not particularly impressed. Annoyed with myself for not choosing the Garmin which for the same price would recognise stroke type. The menu is infuriating and really easy to delete your records. Am sure a thorough reading and re Reading of the manual would solve this but it's not intuitive and I understand that the Garmin is better in that regard.i have also tried once to install the software (admittedly tired post swim) and it failed to install. So I will have to mess about with that too. My phone is 2 years old and cannot support the app. Annoying again. Soin summary really wished I had just bought the Garmin.

Awful product
Battery went after a few weeks. The company replaced it but it went again even faster. Useless device.

Fiddly interface, not always accurate - straps busted
It has been very useful, however I could not set it to upload (I'm not a compelte technophobe), it did not always count laps accurately, I never got completely comfortable with it's own interface, and finally, the straps just given out - and there's no way of replacing strap only. I won't be getting another one, I'm afriad

Really useful to keep track of lengths in the pool
Really useful to keep track of lengths in the pool. The nfc upload functionality is handy and easy to use.

Terrible Product
I got this for my son. Tried to set up the software on my phone. But after creating an online account, the software just kept say, “your password doesn’t look right”. Even though I verified it online. So then I tried the software on the pc. Well that had issues and I needed to manually install the pod drivers from the directory. It finally recognized the pod but putting the watch in upload mode and putting in the cradle and pressing the upload recent on the screen just kept tearing for me to put the watch in upload mode.Extremely frustrated. It should be a lot easier. 3 hours of stress and I won’t tell you what I actually want to do with this thing.

Bad watch
Very disappointed. The battery has no power. The chain is a little dirty. I doubt it's a used one.

Accurate and convenient
I love the accuracy and the simplicity of uploading to my phone. All I need to do is to hold the watch to the back of my phone, NFC transfers the swim data. The only down side of this watch is that it takes about 5 minutes for me to find the correct screen to watch the count. Every button depends on the button pressed before it to get you to a different menu.
