Waterproof High Definition Color Wide Viewing Angle License Plate Car Rear View Camera with Night Vision for 4 Runner/Land Cruiser 150-Series Prado/Fortuner/SW4 (HD Camera)

I purchased this in the midst of doing a vehicle refresh package for my '08 Toyota 4Runner. Coupled with a Sony XAV-AX100 head unit, the camera gives a crisp video when backing up. It is also discrete enough and looks OEM at first glance, as it is a perfect fit into the driver side license plate light. Install was straight forward, though in order to avoid the rear tailgate window's movement, I followed the factory wiring. This caused me to run short on cabling which was remedied by a quick trip to Walmart for additional cabling. Should you have a smaller vehicle or one without a power rear tailgate window, the length included should be fine. Additionally, the camera comes with a bright LED light for the license plate light, so make sure to have a T10 LED bulb available for the opposite side. Before you screw into the factory license plate light, place some washers between the factory screw point and camera unit, otherwise, the unit will sit flush and when you back up, the upper part of the field of vision will be blocked by a slight lip. Doing the washers will add space and give you an unobstructed view. Overall a great purchase!

Camera very clear but i wish the frame line would move

Camera is decent. Some blur around the edges. No issues so far from car washes. It's enough to give you some view behind you and the guide lines are good. Fits nicely on my 2005 4runner. I would prefer it having a socket style normal bulbs for the license plate light. It comes with a fixed led so trying to match that light color with the other side is difficult.Update July 6th, 2018Camera is a blur now. Not sure if there is condensation between the len and clear cover. Disappointing because it is a direct fit. A socket for regular bulbs would be better rather than a fixed LEDs.Update: July 16, 2018Camera is a complete blur now. Useless. Money stolen from me.

Installed without a hitch and picture quality was good during the day but a bit grainy at night. Needed to use washers on the screws to space the camera lower otherwise you would see the lip of the trunk bar in view. Wide enough to see a good amount of the rear of the vehicle.

I WISH there was a way to remove the backup 'lines' that are built into the hardware/programming of this little camera. The lens & picture (being used with a Kenwood Excelon aftermarket headunit) are fantastic, and the little LED light has held up for quite a while. I've installed this in my 2008 4Runner, and it fit like OEM, which I appreciated, as I didn't have to drill any holes in my vehicle.My only MINOR complaint is that there doesn't seem to be a way to remove (or adjust) the 'parking/distance' lines (which are different for every vehicle). With the ability to adjust those, this would be a 5-star product! I'm still very happy with my purchase, but find this feature annoying.All-in-all I highly recommend this camera as an aftermarket upgrade to any vehicle it fits.

Better than expected cemera quality. Crisp and clean daytime veiws, a little gainy at night but does it’s job. I have to agree and suggest with the other reviews about gapping/spacing the camera lower. You can still seem a small portion of trim at the top of the camera even though I spacer/lowers the camera about 3mm.

I used it for a back up camera as it is supposed to be used for and it never worked. It was installed for a week and rusted. Trouble shooted and it never turned on. Sending back. Bought one from Best Buy and it worked great.

Works well. A few degrees wider would have been nice but not a big deal. Indiscreet once in place which is great. Easy to install and a really good price.

died after a few months, worked fine until moving to a much wetter climate.
