I bought this for my mom who is not be able to lift too much due to injury.She just used this to grind some cummin, cardamom or coriander seeds for curry and she said it' fun and the size is perfect. So much easier to handle than heavy marble sets.

Beautiful, BUT…….
I received it today and was very pleased by how beautiful this is. It feels nice and sturdy, and has an elegant and natural look that I was going for.HOWEVER…make sure that you was yours VERY WELL!!! It looks like part of the varnish(?) comes off when you first wash it. So I suggest a thorough cleaning before grinding herbs or anything edible in it.
