Greenbrook POLY External Bulkhead Light Fitting - 100 watt BC with Grey base

This was an excellent product with easy to punch out holes for various fitting options. Good quality batten holder inside.

I bought this to replace a damaged cover. I wasn't sure it would fit as the dimensions weren't precisely the same as the old one. It fits properly.

Bought a pair for my lad's rear patio. Beware, you do need to buy glands as well and, preferably, use round cable. I also found the body was a bit on the flimsy side when screwed to a fence / wall. The screws for the transparent cover are also a bit long. You need patience to screw them in. However, once mounted and properly sealed on the entries, these are perfectly serviceable and cheap.

Very happy with this product, functional but not out of place illuminating our patio from the rear wall of our home. Robust construction and thus far water tight. I like the fact it will accommodate up to a 100 watt bulb. I would recommend this product.

Bought this for internal lighting for a 'garden storage building' (a shed in other words!) that I don't entirely trust is truly water-tight. Yeah, they look a bit 'building site'... but the plastic diffuser is tough, distributes light well (I'm using a regular 70w Halogen BC) and seals well via a rubber gasket to the metal body which has several punch-outs for cabling and mounting screws. Porcelain internals need dismounting to wire effectively but there's plenty of space for serial wiring should you need to. Comes supplied with a generous amount of heat-resistant cable sheaths. Recommended.

When I received this item it looked OK so I spent a couple of hours mounting the backplate and "plumbing in" the electrical wiring. Unfortunately when I came to connect it up I encountered problems! As I think one of your other reviewers found, the terminal screws would not tighten up. The screws are not the usual "brass" type but are of some sort of alloy which seems to be very soft and tightening them is difficult as the access channels in the porcelain holder are not correctly aligned, which makes it fiddly to get a screwdriver in place.This may explain why it is easy to perhaps over - tighten them resulting in the thread stripping. Fortunately, when I contacted the supplier they sent me a replacement bulb holder very quickly and being forewarned I was very careful when tightening the screws, so now it is in place and working. Also, when I put in even a small 60 watt halogen bulb I had to put spacing washers behind the mounting bracket to avoid the bulb pressing against on the metal backplate. Fortunately there is plenty of room inside the cover, but I suspect a "normal" size 100 watt bulb would be a very tight fit without bending the mounting bracket as well.As far as the manufacturer is concerned they need to look at replacing the bulb-holder with a better quality one, and I was tempted to give this item just 1 star, but I decided that would not be fair to the supplier who was very good.
