Q: How does it hold together as an arch?

Horribble. Had to buy a arch pole. None of the small sticky parts for the balloon came apart it was all stuck together. More than half the pack of balloons were defected. Had to run out the day of the event looking for balloons!! Never again

Q: Do you think I could blow these up three days before our party?

I guess it depends on if you are using helium or just air. I just used air and adhered the arch to the wall with the double sided tape that's included. I did this 2 days before the party and they lasted days beyond the party as well. If you are planning to use helium at all, I don't think they will last.
