A Roaring Success
The children loved making this although it did require adult help. The end result was great fun.

Great toy for educational purpose and fun, only a couple of minor flaws
I recently got sent the Build-a-Bot Tiger kit for my child to review, aiming to provide them with both entertainment and a bit of educational value. The kit promises to be an interactive STEM experience for kids aged 4 and up, and I have to say it mostly delivers on that promise.Assembly was fairly straightforward thanks to the "Easy Click 'n' Create System". My child had fun fitting the pieces together, and it was a good exercise in following instructions and understanding how different components come together to create a functioning whole. There weren't any tools needed, just a series of pieces that click into place. However, there were times when the pieces didn't fit as smoothly as we would've liked, requiring a bit more force to click them together, hence a 4/5 rating instead of a full 5.Once assembled, the interactive pet tiger is cute. It reacts to touches and sounds, making it an engaging toy that holds my child's interest. The tiger moves and makes noises, which adds a layer of interactivity that my child enjoys. I was pleasantly surprised by how responsive the sensors are; they react almost instantaneously to touch and sound cues. However, I was slightly disappointed in the overall durability. While it's holding up so far, some of the components feel a bit flimsy and I'm not entirely sure how it will fare in the long run with regular play. Given that it's targeted for younger kids who might not be as gentle with their toys, this is something the manufacturers could improve on.Another minor quibble is that it doesn't have a broad range of movements or sounds, which limits its replay value a bit. It's a fun toy for the first few days, but I can see my child eventually losing interest due to the limited interactive options.Overall, the Build-a-Bot Tiger offers a good blend of educational and entertainment value. It gives children a basic understanding of robotics and assembly while also serving as an interactive toy. Despite some minor drawbacks in terms of build quality and variety of interactions, it's still a worthwhile purchase. My child and I enjoyed the building process and the interactive play. I am happy to give it a solid 4/5

Easy to follow instructions for children.
My 9 year old grandson loved this, he found the instructions clear & helpful. I couldn't believe how quickly he built it, he was very happy.

Mixed feelings
My 5 year old enjoyed making this, but it is a connect the bits, not a hugely stem activityI think the idea is good but not fully realised and it never properly worked, despite me taking it apart and putting it together again

Easy to assemble. Interchangeable parts. Variety of stickers.
I ordered three different types of this Build-a-bot for my children. And I am very glad that I did because I can only imagine the arguments if I had ordered just one! They are very cute little things and very easy to put together. Each of the 20 pieces snaps together so there are no tools involved. And the best thing is that the parts are interchangeable, which I did not realise when I ordered them. So now the kids can swap parts and make their own unique little pets. Each pet comes with a variety of stickers which makes for even more fun. These toy pets are very responsive to sound and easy to operate. My kids love them!

Fun Robot Pet
Cute build your own pet Tiger robot toy. My little girl (5) thought this was awesome, she did need help building it, but the instructions were clear and easy to follow, and it took us about 15 minutes or so. That's not including the time it took her to decorate her pet tiger, using the stickers provided. You get lots of stickers on a sheet, including eyes/stripes/whiskers etc so you can customize the tiger however you'd like, plus some leftovers. It does need 2 x AA batteries (not included) so if you plan on gifting this, then that's something to remember. The tiger works by firstly turning it on by the on/off switch on its chest. It reacts to sounds, so something as simple as clapping, will make the tiger walk forwards, and also make sounds like it's growling/roaring at you in response. The body of the tiger is see-through, so you get to see the legs working etc, which I thought was interesting.Included in the set is a 'Build Certificate', which is like the pet's birth certificate. On it you can write its name, where/when they were built and who by, which my little girl enjoyed filling in.Overall, I think it's a really fun and educational toy. My little girl really enjoyed building it, and loved being able to interact with her pet tiger. I do think after a while the novelty of it will wear off, as there are only so many things to do with it, which is the reason for my 4/5 stars.

Fun afternoon craft
The media could not be loaded. Build a bot TigerA fun little project for kids. A fairly easy build, clear instructions. Most can be done by the little one themselves, depending on the age.It requires two AA batteries to work. This can respond to your calls and/or tail clicks. The tiger will slowly move across the floor, albeit better on a hard floor than carpet though! It also makes roar sounds and meows too. It's a fun afternoon craft, I would recommend it. Good for the price.
