Joseph: King Of Dreams [DVD]

My grandson asked to watch it as they were doing it in school. I wasn’t sure why I had to rent it though, I was expecting it to be free.

Watched with a group of 4-8yr olds And as they watched it there was laughter, gasps, tears and cheers. Such a great story!

Was nice to watch this film again, a really nice take on the Joseph narrative in the Bible. Would be great to have this remastered so it is super clear on modern TV's but other than that, great film. Would love to see this remade with recent scholarship on this story!

My 3 year old granddaughter loves it. She would ask to watch this over and over. I enjoy watching this with her and feel that the producers have stayed close to the biblical story, with some small changes. There are two parts where I distract her, as I think it sounds violent where Joseph is in prison and explains a dream , the other part is at the end where Joseph takes a knife and stabs the bags of corn which the brothers were holding. There is also a part in the beginning where Joseph dreams of a wolf chasing him which I think could be scary for a child but my granddaughter is fine with that.

A great film, remembered it from my childhood and wanted to watch again. The animation doesn't hold to the Prince of Egypt's, but it's still pretty good. Couple of great songs too.

Loved it, not many biblical movies for kids these days

Joseph, Prince of Dreams, is a wonderful movie that I would like to recommend to all. I do not agree with other reviews stating that it is not up to par with the Prince of Egypt. Au contraire, I feel the storytelling is much more engaging and very well executed, the songs (many more than in Prince of Egypt) are beautiful, both score and lyric wise and the spiritual message is clearly present. My three year old daughter loves the movie and wants to see it over and over again. It's Disney material but with a Biblical message of God loving and empowering his people to stand in their Godgiven destiny. Furthermore the very competitive price makes it the best DVD deal I have ever had. I hope Dreamworks will dare to take on other stories of the Bible in the future.
