I’ve always had issues with styling tools working in travel destinations due to the change in wattage. You learn that tools don’t simply work because you have a converter. This one worked with a converter. (As advertised) Used it in Ireland. The only words of caution…it gets very, very hot. Both at home and abroad. And the tip is hot so be careful when styling your hair. My friend and I kept burning our fingers and hands. However, the upside is that you can curl your hair in record time because of the high heat.

Thus hair curler is nicely made and included a lovely "hand written" note from the manufacturers as well as it was wrapped with a heat pad and combs. The price was great and I really love the light portability and the fact that with the correct outlet for the foreign country (I used European plugs in both Israel and Jordan)it heats up without a problem. Well. I DID have a problem using a CONVERTER with an ADAPTER plug. The handle heated up and the metal did not. I caught this problem just in time. When I used the simple adapter plug it worked like a charm in every hotel we were in. Highly recommend this hot curler for travel and regular use.

So, this gets really hot. The waves or curls look really cute and stay in my hair for quite some time. I like the size of the barrel and that it is a cylinder rather than a cone, it makes it easier to create the modern curl with blunt ends.It does burn your skin very easily - so be careful. Maybe use two gloves. And long sleeves. Because, even with the glove, I burned my arm just above the wrist.

I’m from the US and needed a curling iron that was dual voltage for my Tahiti and Europe trip. This curling iron worked perfectly and gave me great curls! You will need to buy a European adapter to plug in though as it’s an American plug, but it will be a great backup for home that can still be used. I heard stories from people who took their own tools and used a converter and it completely fried their tools. This was a great choice without risking my expensive tools and recommend for those traveling abroad.

If you're thinking about buying this, note that there are different versions (listed at the top of the page). Three are curling IRONS (meaning they have a clip which holds your hair) and two are curling WANDS (no clip; you wind your hair around the barrel and hold it there yourself). ***Also note that some versions have the ability to select your desired temperature and some do not.***I bought the curling wand with temperature control. I set it to 300 (the lowest it will go) and held each curl on the wand for about 7 seconds. The picture shows what my curls looked like before I brushed them out. For reference my hair is naturally 2A, the only product I had in it was a heat protectant, and the wand did a great job on the curls. BUT...I'm just not convinced the temperature control worked. I had it set to 300, but the heat coming off of it and how quickly it curled my hair were comparable to my straightener on 450. I don't want to damage my hair, so I'm returning this.Also - the product description says the barrel is long. It is not. It is the standard size, same as other curling wands I've had (6 inches).

Overall I bypassed the fact that I can’t control the heat but I bought this in September and we are barely going into December and it stopped working it wouldn’t turn on and I kept it in a nice place always put it away neatly there were no signs of me tugging , it still looks brand new. Barely used it since it did heat up pretty high and now it doesn’t work!

This curler was a good buy for the price. I got it for my daughter on Christmas and she loved it. It is easy to use and super light. It came in a very neat box, great for gift. The temperature is hot enough to leave you nice curls that will last all day.Esta pinsa para el cabello es muy buena para el precio. La compre para mi hija en navidad y ella esta encantada. This is an amazing curling iron for the price! High quality and curls super fast. There is only on setting (on/off) for heat but that makes it simple to use. I have long/thin hair and it doesn’t burn my hair when curling. My whole hair fits on the barrel and after a couple seconds comes out looking beautiful and curly! Amazing seller, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Lo use 2 veces y ya no prende, Al principio funcionó muy bien la primera vez que lo usé, la segunda como que empezó a falsear ya no prendía todo el tiempo y como que se apagaba, y cuando lo quise volver a usar no prende, y apenas hace 1 mes lo pedí, no lo recomiendo
