I used these to build a smallish bookshelf speaker. Coupled with an old titanium dome tweeter and a modified 2 way 12db crossover, the results are staggering. This speaker looks identical to the driver used in the Rokit studio monitors, but as I no longer have a these I cannot confirm that. However you will be amazed by the sound these things can produce. I will be trying the 6 and 8 inch models shortly as I cannot believe how good these are for the price. Without a 'tweeked' crossover they can sound a bit "honky" in the upper mid range, but the bass is very good and the amount of power these can take is staggering. You need a tweeter that can be crossed over quite low (around 2K), this gets rid of the harshness of this driver. I have attached a diagram of the crossover I used. Technically it is wrong, but it sounds great with this driver, but then that is the black art that is DIY speaker building. IT's not the first, and probably won't be the last time that technically and actually do not coincide!

These are great woofers,no distortion at high levels and believe me they can take whatever you throw at them.

Good value drivers - but not speced as described. These are 100W RMS 200W peak drivers.

Worked exactly as I wanted them to. They may not be the last word in audio greatness but if you know their limitations and don't expect hi-fi nirvana, they do just fine. Great price and look funky to boot.
