Best produce bag.
At first I was hesitant to buy a set, I was thinking that currently I could see myself maybe using two of these for produce, and I did not want to have an extra that I would not use right now. Then I read somewhere (possibly Zero Waste Home? or maybe online?) that a cotton mesh bag can be used as a laundry wash bag! so even though they do not say you can use it in that way, it has been going well for me. I tie up the drawstring a couple times, and it keeps my panties, etc., from unraveling without plastic. It is really nice because a study came out saying that plastic pollutes waterways and harms sea life, so this is a really great alternative. One of these bags was perfect for getting enough lemons to make homemade lemonade (I think a dozen if I remember correctly). One can be used to keep produce in the fridge while the other is washed and placed in your grocery shopping kit so you do not forget it!It is certified organic cotton and they say it's production is socially responsible. So you do not have to worry about pesticides getting on your organic cotton bag (although if you cannot afford organic produce all the time you may have to worry about it getting on your bag)It is also really helpful to see the tare weight on the bag. This is the PERFECT produce bag. Also really nice because disposable produce bags are not recyclable sadly.

Perfectly sized, expertly woven, strong, soft beautiful mesh bags that are good for EVERYTHING, and ecologically sound
I was skeptical about this purchase at first because of the cost and my past history with flimsy woven mesh, BUT these are gorgeous, soft, well-made bags that are perfect for sooooo many situations! The cost is minimal compared to the quality. I use them as stuff sacks in all my sewing stashes - the little ones for toggles and buttons and the XL size for yarn, cloth, etc. I had been using see-thru plastic containers because the soft mesh I'd used in the past was weak and short-lived. These bags are much sturdier! The XL size will hold about the same amount of stuff as a shoe box, so I am planning on purchasing more of them when it is time to put away winter storage - a great alternative for stuffing away wool socks and chunky-yarn hats. I thought originally that the small sizes would be good for only small grocery shopping and a few trinkets, but they have become must-have organizing tools in every room and laundry is MUCH easier. In the bathroom, the bags are perfect for collecting hair ties, small bottles, lip balms... and I hang one in the shower to catch rings, earrings, etc. The mesh is tight and dependable. We've made closet and drawer sachets with whole coffee beans and whole cloves. *I did add toggle buttons to the bags that take the most opening/closing abuse (the cord knots are impossible to untie if they are wet), but my clever pre-teen is experimenting with creating much prettier, leather slip-closures and colorful crochet slides.

Great produce bags for the grocery store!
These are my favorite reusable produce bags, of several types that I've used. They are soft and lightweight, and can be easily machine washed. The mesh makes it easy for the grocery store checker to identify the item of produce. I happened to be dyeing a few things using natural dyes, and threw a few of these in -- they took the color beautifully! I only wish I had thought dye all the small ones one color, mediums another color, etc. since it would be nice to use color coding to tell at a glance whether I'm grabbing a small or large bag out of my stash when at the grocery store. You can keep your produce in these in the fridge when you get home if you want -- I find that most produce lasts better in these than in the thin plastic bags (which are terrible for the environment).

Disappointed
Disappointed I didn't notice before buying that these don't have metal cord locks to hold the bags closed. Similar organic mesh produce bags I bought from Sol + Spirit (in Wyoming) have them, and they are quite handy to keep the bag closed, especially as the bag gets more worn thru time. Unfortunately, these bags shrink a lot if they are accidently put in warm water wash or the dryer, which is easy to happen if kids are doing any laundry. Would be nice if they came pre-shrunk.

Nice, durable, washable bags
These (the large) hold a lot, seven or eight large apples, for instance. Bought a set of 3 about three years ago and recently added a second set. They shrank a bit at the first wash in cold water, dried on low, but stretch out in use. Did have to restitch half the drawstring sleeve on an older one, but they're used often Quite satisfied.

Love them
Love these bags. I use these bags for holding all of my juicing vegetables I have to clean them really well first and then I wrapped them in white flour sack towels and then I put them in these bags when the vegetables are still wet The moisture absorbs into the towel and keeps the vegetables nice and crisp. These bags just work great my vegetables last a lot longer. Even cilantro or parsley will last for a week up to a week and a half and then I put labels on each bag with my label maker so I will know what's in each bag. I have bought at least 20 of these bags and they always wash up great and I reuse them over and over.

These are so great!!
I love these! I love that I and anyone else can see in the bag, I love that they're not plastic, and I love the VERY most that I don't have to resort to a single-use plastic bag. Before I had these, I would keep things loose a lot of times. Now, I don't have to do that and things are kept separate and neat! I will be getting more!

Very well made and as described.
Very well made and as described. I've had these for 2 years and have no issues. The bags stretch to a big size (can fit a lot of potatoes, broccoli, etc). Easy to clean, just throw them in the wash.
