Morphy Richards Accents Stand Mixer Black Stand Mixer

I was delighted with this mixer form the start. It's bigger than I really need, and takes up a bit of space on the worktop, but it's fast, efficient and - best of all - has an excellent 'cover' over the bowl. This keeps all the mixing mess in the bowl and not on the worktops. No more flurries of icing sugar or dustings of flour over my kitchen worktops (and everything else within a 3 metre radius). If, like me, you have a teenage 'baker' in your household, keen on baking quantities of cupcakes and sponges with oodles of fluffy icing, then this mixer not only whips up a lovely aerated mixture but also, by keeping the mixture contained in the bowl, makes less mess and therefore makes it more likely that said teenager will leave a clean and tidy kitchen after them!! It's a real pleasure to use and the only thing I could complain about is that the suction feet, designed to keep your mixer in place as you work, are a bit too effective, making it difficult to prise off the worktop when I need to clean underneath!

great machine!! bought it in a last minute dash as my machine broke and i run a cake business from home. very easy to use, fairly quiet compared to some machine i have had. removing the tools can be a little fiddly and time consuming as they are twist off not sprin release but only a matter off a few seconds. all part wash in the dishwasher great also.

Looks great but quite a plastic feel - which I can cope with as the price is good. However I am quite unhappy with several aspects; the beaters do not touch the side of the bowl and so the contents do not get mixed / whisked properly, the splash guard is really difficult to fit and keeps falling off, the bowl has holes in it that water gets into when washing it, when the beater / whisk is in the upright position, there is not enough room to get the spatula in to scrape the sides and so it results in having to remove the bowl. I bought this as a time saving device and despite using it on several occasions I am not happy at all. In fact, in many instances I actually do not want to use it. I bought Morphy Richards thinking it would be the best of this price range, but on reflection I should have saved my pennies towards a better quality machine.

The mixer arrived, securely packed, with all the attachments. I registered my purchase with Morphy Richards as that is the only way you can take advantage of the extended two year guarantee. It is so simple to use and is ideal for a novice like me. I agree with previous reviews that some of the mixture remains on the side of the bowl but it takes seconds to rectify that. The splash guard is easy to remove and clean, as are the attachments. A great little mixer for the price.

My ordered started off on a bum note, when the delivery driver left the parcel "in a safe place" that wasn't very safe.. As some light fingered so and so pinched it, however Amazon were brilliant and replaced the unit. So all happy again on that front. The mixer its self: Well its amazing! Unlike the other "higher" brands, it has a stronger motor in it, so can handle making bread and when using stronger dough. Mixes and whips with ease, and even easy to clean. Stands very proud in the kitchen.. I bought the cream, as I thought the other colours were a bit strong for my kitchen colour, so it matches lovely. Very happy with the product, to say its a lot cheaper then the rest on the market ( purchase price of £48.00) I was a little sceptical on what it would be capable of doing as sometimes a cheap price indicates a cheap product, But not in this case. I have used a K A mixer and I have to say my Morphy Richards one is 10 times better. I was so happy I will be buying another one for a present for my mother who is an avid baker.

My wife and I bought this for my daughter who had never made a cake or pie or baked bread in her life. She used it for the first time yeasterday and to her credit made a cake and bread which turned out very well. This machine is better and cheaper than the one my wife bought off amazon a few months ago My only complaint is that the instruction book that comes with the machine does not explain to a novice user that after completing that baking proccess the rest of the kitchen should not resemble a war zone.

I think this is good for a first stand mixer before investing in a more expensive and durable one. It mixed well and yes you have to scrap the sides with a spatula like most mixers. I have made some amazing cakes with this mixer for the cheap price. I have had 2 of these the first only lasted just under a year and the 2nd lasted 2 years, both broken making Christmas Cupcakes. On both occasions the mixing mechanism broke, the first time it fell out and this time Christmas eve it just stopped turning. I don't use it alot just to make small batches of Christmas Cupcakes, cookies and the odd birthday cake, so it wasn't being over used, maybe it was because the oil on the mechanism dried out, it was making some random noises like the chain was about to go tbh, but the reason why who knows. I liked this mixer it is a shame they don't last long enough.

I purchased this mixer wondering if I was doing the right thing because it is so cheap. I am delighted with it. It is quiet, doesn't move or jump around when making bread, the bowl is large and spacious, the bowl cover allows for liquids to be added but stops flour spilling or puffing out. All in all I am really pleased with my purchase and there is an added bonus because Morphy Richards attach a two year warranty. You can't go wrong purchasing this item.
