Not as good as the first but it’s okay
This isn’t as great as the first film and plot isn’t that good either but it’s okay, not memorable but okay

This is NOT a Sequel
It started out as a film which had nothing to do with American Psycho but two or three scenes were added referencing that film in order to cash in on its commercial success. It didn't work and this went straight to video, but surprisingly it's not at all bad. It's a black comedy rather than a gorefest and it manages to be mildly amusing throughout. Mila Kunis,an actress I don't usually warm to,plays the title role with some relish and William Shatner, looking a bit seedy, does comedy quite well too. Probably a much better film for NOT having anything to do with Bret Easton Ellis.

Not terrible.
I had low expectations for this but for the first 10/15 minutes, it looked like this could be a brilliant film. Sadly that did not come to pass and this descended into (admittedly quite amusing) absurdity quite quickly. If it wasn't called AP 2, it might be be more palatable but it just seems to try to hard to recreate that darkly humourous tone of the original without any of the snappy writing or cultural, chronological details that made the first film so good. Kunis is good but doesn't really come across as a cold blooded killer, more as a petulant spoilt brat. Lower your expectations, and you may enjoy it. There are certainly far worse films on Amazon Prime...

I have to return this videotape
To hear William Shatner explain the grisly truth to a gaggle of drunk teenage girls that famed serial murderer Ed Gein was the actual inspiration for Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre - well, let's just say that was something I wasn't expecting to hear today.Mila Kunis is Rachael. When she was 12, she took an ice pick to original movie psycho Patrick Bateman and ended his reign of terror. Fast forward to the present and she's now studying criminology and laser focused on getting the teaching assistant position under Professor Starkman (Shatner), which would make her the ideal candidate for the FBI training programme. Problem is, he's not all that interested and what begins as a ploy by Rachael to eek out her competition soon turns into a cold blooded murder spree as she makes her way through the many rivals that stand in her way...This isn't the worst movie in the world, or the best. As a sequel to the original 'American Psycho' this a very (very!) poor continuation, however as a movie in it's own right - it'll do on a wet Saturday afternoon. Not particularly gory, creepy or scary - it aims for a weird 'cult movie' vibe with off-kilter humour and less of the red stuff. Think 'Heathers' more than 'Murder Set Pieces'. Director Morgan J. Freeman (no, not god) handles the material like a TV-movie and doesn't really go for the jugular, but who knows - that may have just been the vibe he was going for. Lead Kunis is pretty good in the role, however at times there is a certain disconnect - but I'm not sure if that's just the way she was written. Captain Kirk does have a sizeable role as a sleazy lecturer and its fun to hear him drop F bombs and ask his shrink for valium, but it's a long way from his heroic role as that fella who works with the other fella whose got pointy ears. All in all, I guess it's worth a one-shot watch but be prepared for a major dip in quality from the original film and a ton of incessantly annoying soft rock tracks from the '90s that forever permeates throughout the soundtrack.

Patrick Bateman Returns In Female Form!
I bought this DVD on the back of watching the 5* movie that is American Psycho the tale of a delusional Wall St Executive driven to murder, torture! It features Mila Kunis as the delusional, paranoid Rachel Newman sole escapee of the murderous yuppie from the first film, Patrick Bateman. She develops an obsession with former FBI Agent Robert Starkman who was the lead detective on the Bateman Case who now is a teacher at the college she attends.. Driven by lust, obsession and sheer power she stops at nothing to win the coveted teaching assistant post everyone so badly wants. The movie was watch-able in the sense the plot-line was quite good, If I am honest though I was expecting more.. Its a nice addition to your DVD collection especially if you own the first one. Its the right price also so my advice by it!

Mediocre sequel, but has its fun moments
I saw this movie some years ago, as we loved the original. wasn't expecting too much as we knew Christian bale was not returning. Watching it again for the first time in 10 years it's actually fun to see Mila Kunis in one of her first movie roles. She puts together a good performance here, playing a dark and twisted serial killer on campas. Though with little to no actual visual gore or sex, it can be classed as a very tame Slasher movie. Which does lead it to be a little tiresome and drags. The story though, is interesting. but quite silly. Does NOT compare at all to the original movie. Looking back on it now i don't think a sequel was a very good idea at all, not with this cast and the story they used. Still, worth seeing, but not purchase worthy.

Good
Very good movie not as goid as the first one. It stars Mila Kunis who is a high school student vying for the position of Teaching Assistant to the professor of criminology, which comes with a prestigious internship at the FBI. She starts killing off her completion. It is amusing
