Great British Product
Read about this stuff and good range from Sharphams. We bought mixed case of Pearled (whole) spelt & this porridge.Much better than routine 'porridge' and even better a mix of the pearled 1/3 & 2/3 porridge.A more complex flavour. Great served with a blob of double cream and Date Nectar.

Fine flavoured organic sawdust
I have been buying Sharpham Park spelt bread flour and meusli for years and find them entirely wholesome and delicious. This porridge, sadly, is tasty but the texture is revolting, coarse, grainy and more like wet sawdust. Sorry Sharpham Park, you are a great business but this is not your best product.

Excellent product!
This is far superior than regular oats. High content of iron!especually great for baby food(used as a base)mixed with flax seeds, chia seeds etc.I always prepare it on low temperature for 7, 9 minutes.Excellent product!!!great delivery time as well

Porridge to beat the winter blues
Really enjoyed this porridge it is best made in the pan rather than the microwave and I needed more than 50 grams each time for breakfast We have 3 boxes left but we will some demolish these and on top of everything else it's good for you

Great taste
As someone that trys to avoid too much gluten, I never feel uncomfortable eating this. Use it for porridge, crumble topping and making flapjacks. Sometimes you get a husk but that is fine...and it is British. :-)

Just my packet?
This porridge has a rich and nutty flavour. However, I couldn't be doing with all of the husks. These are between ½ and 1cm long each and I picked out 1 or 2 husks virtually every mouthful. And I eat my porridge with a teaspoon! Not pretty and not fun.I like wholegrain rice etc. so I like chewy/nutty but this is not the problem. The spelt clearly wasn't husked thoroughly (or even close) and there was a LOT of husk in this porridge.Limited experience? Yes, I have only eaten 1 box of this and can't be sure that I just got a one-off bad 'un but I found it so gross that I can't face the thought of trying another. The rest of it wasn't nice enough to risk it.

Quality Product, Not for Me too Grainy!
I really wanted to like this but it's just okay for me. I love and only use spelt flour in my daily cooking so I thought I would really like this but I am just not a fan of the grainy texture when compared to oatmeal, which is smooth once cooked. However, the product is quality and if you know what you are expecting than do purchase.

Super Sharpham Spelt
I bought this product because I wanted a change from wheat. I use it along with organic porridge oats and add my own pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds.I do not use it as a cooked porridge but as a muesli with oat milk, it is really delicious and will buy it again when I run out. In the winter I will use it as a porridge.
