Solid ESSTAC Kywi Knockoff
Great ESSTAC kywi knockoff. Price is good, quality is good. Only con is that it uses light denier Cordura. Likely fine for this application since it has the kydex inserts but something to note. Attachment points are solid and secure. Magazine retention is good.

Does the Job
Good product, definitely recommend putting a magazine inside of it overnight so that it can loosen up a tad prior to using it on the range. Still maintains good tension even after loosening up and allows positive retention and easy placement.

Hard first, real hard.
I was worried at first that the pouch was too tight, as the magazine was super hard to put into the pouch. However, after getting it in there and leaving it in there for a day, it was perfect. Nice retention and easy to insert the mag now.

Good but could be better
The molie straps don’t seem to stay snug on a 2” battle belt, definitely cheaper than the name brand but sacrifices the stability in my opinion Has more wiggle than I would like

Rifle mag
Product is extremely light weight and pretty durable. Recommended running it on duty belt. Helps take weight off hips.

Really good clone w/ additional features
This is a clone of the ESSTAC short KYWI pouch (with no webbing). It has built in straps which nice if you don't want to mess with MALICE clips or the like. The pouch has a very thin slot for a belt and I think it'd be OK for moderate use and I like the option even though I never plan to use it that way. The inserts are thicker and tighter than I'm used to but a heat gun can help loosen them if I want. All in all this is a good cheap substitute for the real thing. I needed these in a hurry and could get them overnight or I would have ordered the real thing. I plan to use this for LARPing but based on initial impressions I would use these for range days. This is a 5 star clone. If you care about it being a clone then don't buy it for "real" use.

Skip these and spend $5-$10 more on Esstac KYWIs
Everything is better on the Esstacs, the Krydex pouches feel cheap and flimsy in comparison. On the Esstacs the nylon material itself is much more robust and I'd imagine much more durable. The much thinner and less rigid insert on the Krydex came compressed and even after leaving a mag in for a couple days it won't really hold the pouch open for reindexing mags (unless inserted perfectly, the mag's feed lips would catch on the insert). The KYWI insert on the Esstacs holds the pouch open and gives almost a tactile click when the mag is fully inserted, locking it in. The Krydex on the other hand just have a consistent, much lighter pressure on the mag. Finally, the flimsy MOLLE attachment on the Krydex is nowhere near as solid as the Esstac with Malice clips. The Krydex moves around a lot more and feels like it would tear with rough use. For me the Esstac was only $7 more (clips included) and that's a no-brainer for me. If you're dead set on saving a few dollars the Krydex pouches work more or less. I'd consider them sufficient for airsoft or really light use.
