SUMEX LASER30 XL Reflective and Foldable Sun Screen Laser Sun 145 x 80 cm

I don't normally do reviews but after trying a few of the pop up sun shades that packed down to a nice size but didn't make any change to the temperature. I thought i should do a review to help people going through what i did. to get straight to a good product without the hassle.After getting this i was surprised how good the quality it is . I have a Toyota Auris SR , yes i know its not a big car but it has a long sloping windscreen 80cm top to bottom so this generates a lot of heat in the car, and the dashboard gets ridiculously hot.Most sun shades only go to 60cm 70cm but this one is 80cm and fits perfectly top to bottom, its has a nice cutout for your rearview mirror, the side to side is a bit big but i just let it go round the side a little bit so no problem. It has suckers that hold the top up what works well , but for extra support i put my sun shades down. Just in case. But the suckers do a great job.It blocks out all the sun and has really good insulating protection. As soon as you put it up you notice its doing the job its supposed to, Would highly recommend.

Does a reasonable job. (It has been incredibly hot here recently) IS tricky to fit without moving the Rearview mirror.

we purchased this as we have just changed our car. the quality is good and is a good fit for the Hyundai i40.works well and definitely keeps the car cool in sunny . folds out easily and folds back easily when not in use. Would recommend if driving abroad

On the plus side, the product is well made and carries out it's primary function well. On the negative side I was unimpressed with the size guides. The XL size is recommended for the Chevrolet Captiva and bought it on this basis, but it is too big and take a few minutes to attach to the window (with bits sticking out due to being too big). A smaller size than the one officially recommended would have been a lot better. Also a small quibble is that the product does not fold up into a smaller size. It folds up as shown in the photo, but does then not double up so that it can be placed in the door pouch. End result is I've got this long shade I have to carry in the driver seat or boot during the journey. A bit inconvenient so a design change in future versions would be great. For me just a 3 star for good quality product, but loses points for incorrect guides to window sizes.

I bought this as my car came without the option for athermic/athermal windscreen so I was using a cheap sun screen to keep the heat of the car in summer. As expected it did little to no change. As the Sumex is supposed to be 2 or 3 layers it does a much better job of keeping heat out of the dashboard/car. What I don't like is that sizing doesn't exactly fit my 2012 Renault Laguna 3. At first I bought the Laser20 Large which was a bit small thus I bought the Laser30 XL which was supposed to be the right size for me (good luck finding which size is the right one for you from the manufacturer, there's a list on the back of the packaging, but it's not provided either on Amazon or Sumex's own website). Sure, you can measure your windscreen yourself... anyways in the end the L is too small for me and the XL is too big. Not really an issue with the product as they cannot fit perfectly all cars that are made, most importantly the product works and works so that you can feel the difference. Suckers cups are not perfect as they look stable when you put it, but often I find one of them not 'glued' to the windscreen. 4 stars as no better alternative is available or... at least I could not find one.

Was looking for a new reflector for my Audi A5 and as per the Sumex list it stated that this would fit my windscreen. Having got this it looked well made but was far too big to fit my windscreen even though it stated that this size was for my vehicle and returned for the Large Sumex sunshade.
