Time will tell how well this this battery holds up. But the kit was great, includes all the tools (other an alcohol) required, including gloves. The OS reports 100% life and 1 charge cycle. The battery came with only 15% of life, not sure if that means it was on the shelf a long time.

I completely agree with most of the reviews that gave a 5☆ rating for this battery pack! Everything about it was great. The instructions were a little off because of the translation from Chinese, but still were very easy to follow. All of the items needed to change the battery were included (screwdrivers, gloves, plastic lever, etc.). Just an outstanding product and how to change it. The only hard part was removing the old battery. They suggest using rubbing alcohol to loosen the adhesive on the battery. That seemed messy to me, so I checked on YouTube. They suggested using a hair dryer to loosen the adhesive (which I thought might cause damage to the electronics) . So I just slowly and carefully pried up on the individual cell packs of the battery. But be VERY, VERY careful when you do!! I used the small plastic lever tool that they sent, but it didn't give quite enough leverage. So I combined that with a metal screwdriver. Even though I was very careful (and patient), the screwdriver cut through the outer plastic of the battery, and shorted it out! Just like the videos you see on TV of Li-ion batteries igniting, it started smoking and giving off an horrendous odor. Fortunately, I had assembled some other tools where I was working and was able to cut the smoking section away, and throw it outside (fortunately, with no damage to the computer)! So make sure you use non-metallic prying levers. And be VERY slow and patient in prying the old battery loose!

Great price and value. Was surprised that It arrived with tools and instructions right out of the box. Replacing the battery was super easy to do and just be careful not to puncture the old battery. The plastic tools (look liked credit cards but thicker) were perfect to slide in and release the old adhesive. I hope the battery will last and will do an update regarding the battery after 1 year. This worked for my MBP early 2015 retina A1502

I don't know if I really had a bad luck or not. The battery came with all the tools needed to install, that's why I gave a star. The battery itself looks good. Now I have used it for 2 weeks. It charges really slow, more than 2 hours to fully charge, all SLOW charge. The full capacity is 7130. But it doesn't last long. I usually have at least 2 days usage before I need to charge with the old battery which is 75% after 870 cycles. But this battery will be less than 20% next day with power nap off. Too bad, already recycle my old battery, otherwise I'd like pull this out and return it. If you want to try your luck, PLEASE keep the old battery, at least you can have a backup plan. I know it's hard to get it out without your full body strength, or maybe buy a different brand instead.

Almost exactly in form but not fits exactly with chasis, although works fine!

This battery is older than my 2015 Macbook Pro. Insane. I give two stars for the price and kit that comes with the battery, excellent instructions and overall package. However, the battery life is pretty awful considering it lasted many hours on first use; but, it now only gets a few hours till depleted. Coconut Battery app states this battery was manufactured in 3/2015, is 3746 days old with only 4 cycles. The Macbook was manufactured 11/2015!!! Not cool. I've been on battery for 2 hours and 45 minutes and battery level is 53%. I got 6 or 7 hours the first time I used it and was satisfied. I deliberately taxed the battery to put it through a full cycle. I watched a film and browsed the Internet and watched YouTube while having the screen and keyboard backlight on full. Still lasted longer than any subsequent charge and it's rated capacity is greater than the original Apple installed battery - so I expected it to be on par with the original battery. Apart from performance, the installation was quite easy and non-messy. You get all the tools you need for the job, including screwdrivers, a screen cloth, rubber gloves, a pry tool for the battery and a poker/picker to remove cable connectors, etc. The instructions are full color images of what to remove, disconnect, etc. and very easy to understand. I am impressed for the very low price. Just wish the battery would last longer despite the bonus materials and thoughtful advisement. 3-Stars solid for the price, tools, instructions and thoughtfulness, and a deduction of two stars because duration is more important than convenience of installation (to me) but an additional star removed due to the age of this battery (10 years!) and its only on the 4th cycle and barely makes it to five hours watching a couple of episodes of Smoke - with interruptions for food and bathroom, and light Internet.

It is not the first time that installed tis type of battery so I have some experience to do the job. For someone doing it for the first time the printed installation manual included in the box is really helpful. This product comes with everything you need to get the job done, except the isopropyl alcohol to dissolve the adhesive of the original battery. The actual properties (mAh) even exceed the product specifications. So I am very happy with this purchase.

Good product + good tools to get the job done

My MBP 2014 laptop is over 9 years old and has a battery cycle count of over 594. This battery replacement kit will breathe new life to it. Prior to the installation, I did watch a few y0utube videos to gain some understanding on the various approaches to perform this task. I decided to go with the easiest approach which avoids removing the motherboard. I really like the kit as it includes all the tools to complete the task. After removing the back case, I partially removed the side speakers and used a strong but thin string and like a cheese wire, i slowly sliced off the glue. The process carefully removing the entire old batteries took around 25-35minutes. The fitting of the new batteries took another 5minutes and putting the back cover was another 5minutes. The whole job was about 40mins but I used this opportunity to clean out all the dust trapped in the dual fans etc. Things I liked: - it included all the screwdrivers - battery was detected (full health) Overall, the result are amazing. It’s like have the laptop like it was on day one. Already I can see the difference in (longer) battery life.

En concreto este modelo nos sirve para aquellos MacBook Pro de 13”. La batería es la modelo A1493 para el modelo A1520 Finales de 2013, Mediados de 2014 y principios de 2015) ME864LL/A ME866LL/A A1493/A1582 La instalación es muy sencilla ya nos trae un kit con un juego de 2 destornilladores, y herramientas para abrir el portátil. Te aconsejo de hacerlo tú mismo porque puedes ahorrarte el coste de la instalación. Este kit desafortunadamente no viene con instrucciones por lo que habrá que buscar un tutorial en en youtube que buscando un poco nos ayudará.
