I know, you're right, but it works; mental I know....
I was amazed at the difference this made. Now I'm in England and we've just has the best summer, actually we're still having it really, but its not as good as it has been but when it was el scorchio! we had the big pool out and found that its cover had died over the course of the three years it'd been in the loft of the shed, I think the mice liked it too much so a new one was needed.I thought, and if I'm honest part of me still thinks that this is simply a sheet of blue plastic with bubble-wrap stuck to it. In fact thinking about it now as I write this review I think I can confidently say this is a piece of blue plastic with bubble-wrap stuck to it, but it works really well and makes a huge difference to the temperature of the pool, so much so that when you got in you could feel the warmer water at the top of the pool and the cooler water at the bottom. I liked it... in fact I liked it a lot and used to try and get it with out mixing the water around to much; I'm seeing someone about that now and feel much better now, just in case you were worried. So, if you're looking for something to keep the leaves out, that actually warms the pool like it says it does and might or might not be simply a sheet of blue plastic with bubble-wrap on one side then you've found what you're looking for. (where else would you go to buy blue bubble-wrap anywho?) Buy it, its good

Fits well
Fits well is basically thick bubble wrap but will do the job under the pool cover

Good
Nice. Thanks. Fits on my spa and covers the edges well, don't really need to cut to size as it adds more insulation on the walls if secured.

Good for a while but don't expect it to last!.
I have to say I have mixed feelings about this. It is basically a large circle of thick bubblewrap.I read all reviews and decided to try it anyway. It's good. It heats up the top layer of water which if you then switch the pump on with it on there it circulates the water and warms it still more. It definitely makes that little bit of difference in the UK and helps trap some of the heat in overnight too.Forget taking it off and putting it in yourself, if you can do this effectively I'd like to hear how you do it. I end up getting soaking and in a mass of soggy bubble wrap.Don't expect amazing results, it's not a heater!1 month in and all the bubbles have kind of shrunk. Not popped just totally deflated! Have been very careful with it but it must be either the hot sun has shrivelled the plastic or the water or combination, I don't know. However it is now pretty useless. It stops a few bits going on the surface of the water but as a solar cover, there is now no air in the bubbles so doesn't heat the water. If you get a slight bit of rain, it now sinks as there is no air to keep it afloat.Amazon were very good and refunded me but now weighing up whether to risk buying again or try a different brand.Hope this helps you decide.

Fear not - This cover is great!
I was really dubious about this pool cover, given some of the negative rewiews. But given there where some positive reviews I decided to take the plunge... (Pun intended)On receiving the solar cover I noticed the packaging states it is 11'5" in diameter, so I was tempted to return it immediately as I wrongly assumed this would not fit a 12" Bestway steel frame pool... But it does! The quality of the bubble wrap (be under no illusion it is just blue bubble wrap) is far superior than would ordinarily be used for packaging, I guess this what is ment by "high-micron". It's very strong and will not tear easily, additionally is has several coin size holes in it so the air can escape and water can after on top to be heated. I had the pool setup for just less than a week before this cover arrived and it seems much warmer now with a consistent water temperature of 24 degrees centigrade. Over all I'm very pleased with this cover and feel it does represent good value for money given the quality and square meterage of the product.Pro-tip: For removing, storing and applying the cover use a 3m PVC waste pipe, this allows one person to roll the cover off and on. You might want a smaller pipe to help (like a 2m pvc electrical conduit) to help get it in position if applying on your own). These pipes are only a few £s from you local diy store. Amazon may sell them to, but given the length of the pipes I imagine the postage would make them noncompetitive.

Just blue bubble wrap!
Abit disappointed it isn't as per the picture in the advert, in the picture the bubbles look harder Looks a lot more sturdier, but just like others have mentioned it is basically just bubble wrap, apart from it being blue I do 100% believe a similar colour bubble wrap could be just as effective and maybe cheaper.Seems alot for just blue bubble wrap with a intex stuck on logo. But I have put it on pool today, it is sunny at the moment but I have converted a Lay Z Spa pump to heat my pool, and have had my 12ft upto 31c with only the standard covers so will see now if this cover comes close to that considering that's what it is made for, I will edit this in a couple of days and update on heat levels.EDIT: 25th June 2020Well yesterday I put it on my pool late in afternoon as didn't arrive until later on but it was still sunny, yesterday it actually heated the pool to 30c without my Lay Z Spa heater going.Over night it dropped down to 27c which is fine, we had another hot day today and I went out, came back a few hours later and the pool was heated upto 32c YES 32c so this fancy bubble wrap does work to some degree. My next test for it will be on a cooler day to put my Lay Z Spa on heat and see if the actual cover keeps the pool warm or is it literally only heated with the sun.
