After breaking my foot a few years ago I've suffered from numerous foot problems that have prevented me from walking for exercise. The latest has been plantar fasciitis. I remembered wearing nursing shoes as a teen while working in the food industry. They were much more comfortable than sports shoes and helped me make it through the day. I saw these and decided to see if they could help me now. They may not make a "fashion statement", but they have made a world of difference for my feet. I've been able to not only do my daily tasks, but I've also been able to start walking again. My heels feel no pain at all while wearing them. The soles are soft but very non slip, which makes me feel more secure on wet surfaces. I'm hoping the soft soles will stand up to daily walking without wearing out too soon. Time will tell on that one. They are quite comfortable.My advice: pay attention to the size guidelines. I wear a size 8 1/2. The suggestion is to go up in size if you have wide feet (I do), or if you have need extra space top to bottom. I wear plantar fasciitis inserts, so I would want space for those. I was reluctant to order size 9, I was really afraid they'd be too big. In fact I even considered cancelling my order after I'd placed it. I'm so glad I didn't. These seemed a tad smaller than what I expected, I think the 8 1/2 would have been too small even without inserts. The 9 is a nice fit, toes aren't crowded, width is snug but good,shoes aren't oversized (though I do get some sliding up and down on the heels).My only disappointment was I thought I ordered black but received white. There's a good chance that was my error since I placed them in the cart and removed them more than once. I could have forgotten to make the color change.I'm very happy with this order and suggest these shoes for others who experience pain while walking.***About me: Integrity is very important to me.
