Quiet' Exhaust Baffles 21869/ 21301 (Pair) for V&H Bigshots/Straightshots

I recently purchased a Honda VTX1800 from a dealer in sheffield, I wanted to take my time sorting out the best Insurance quote so I had the Bike delivered to my house. When I eventually fired it up the noise coming from the Vance and Hines Big Shots was utterly ridiculous, it was so loud I doubted very much if the bike would even pass an MOT. Also after an hour riding the bike I came home with a ringing in the ears and a pounding headache. Then I ordered a set of theses Vance and Hines Quiet Baffles and a local Bike mechanic did all the work for me. Now the Bike sounds Great, a really Deep rumble with No ear ringing and No headaches and also I now don't have to worry about the dreaded MOT. These Baffles are worth every penny and in my opinion should have been fitted as standard.

I think it could be a bit longer. The packing is a bit on the light side. It would hardly go into the pipe as it is, you need to tighten the packing a bit. This is when you realize that it could take much more fiberglass packed a bit tighter. Guys, it DOES FIT the longshot with no problem at all. My bike sounds much better. Still loud but only as loud as it should be. The tone got better and somewhat reduced the performance loss you suffer due to the open pipe.

Brilliant service, had a bit of trouble fitting them but the support and advice I received was great. Customer service was second to none, even contacted me on a Sunday. 5 star service, would definitely recommend.

Fitted to Cobra after market pipes on a Yam 1300 xvs, fitting was easy and the niose was greatly reduced to a deep tone sound that is very close to the legal limit, it makes a nice change to ride and not come home with my ears bleeding, Cobra long shots really look good on the bike but they are well above the legal limit.

They look fine although not fitted them yet as they are for a Christmas present.

For the price they're rubbish 😡

Diamètre non indiqué, 45mm pour info Ne correspond pas aux échappements indiqués Vance et Hinces Straightdhots c’est 51 mm Nécessite une adaptation tant au niveau fixation que du diamètre, sinon ça tape dans le pot. Vraiment trop trop cher pour de de la quincaillerie pareille !!! NUL !!!

Fits big shot long V&H exhaust perfectly. Cut down unwanted noise little bit and keep low base sound. Not too sorry to my neighbors now.

Verarbeitung grundsätzlich ok, ich vermute mal das die Teile nicht aus original V&H Fertigung stammen, die Dämmwolle ist von verbesserungswürdiger Qualität und entgegen der Abbildung mit zwei Tesastreifen befestigt, die Dämpfereinsätze haben einen zu geringen Durchmesser 45mm anstelle 51mm und verfügen nicht wie die Orginalen über ein geschnittenes Gewinde welches benötigt wird um den Dämpfer zu befestigen, stattdessen liegen ordinäre Sechskantschrauben größeren Durchmessers bei was wiederum zur Folge hätte dass die Originalbohrungen vergrössert werden müssten. Das Befestigungsloch im Dämpfer liegt ca. 10cm vor Dämpferende auch der Einbau einer durchzusteckenden Schraube mit Mutter dürfte sich hier schwierig gestalten, somit für 2Zoll Anlagen unbrauchbar, würde mich interessieren wer die Dinger pos. bewertet und auch verbaut hat, deswegen gehen die Teile auch zurück.

Also thanks for the speedy shipping from FL to Az on these hard to find baffles. I will recommend to my friend's to deal with this company, I'm very pleased. Installation was very easy on my sportster with V&H straight shot mufflers. Removal of old baffles and installation of new units took only 30mins. This item to me is a much needed accessory to these mufflers for tuning your bike and providing the much needed back pressure for cruising torque that the original straight through baffles reduce even after a stage 1 dyno tune. You can even remove the insulation wrap if needed for more sound and the torque seems to be not effected in my testing.
